We need a 'hard light' for champions
For any newbies out there- Hard light is an old exotic auto rifle with the ability to swap between light elements by using the alt weapon function button (holding reload on most default setups). Borealis and dead messenger slso have essentially the same perk.
What if we applied this idea to the champion mods and made a weapon that can swap between overload, anti-barrier and unstoppable rounds in the same way hard light can swap elements? It wouldn't even need to be that powerful in terms of damage- the utility alone would probably be enough to make it popular.
Since we already have a grenade launcher and sniper with the element-swap functionality, I'm thinking a shotgun (re-vamped universal remote?) or fusion rifle would be solid picks for the weapon type. Maybe even a glaive!

Well first they need to make ALL exotic weapons stun a specific champion instead of this ball juggling bullcrap by switching from exotic to exotic based on the modifiers

Collective Obligation should have this ability, shooting a champion leeches its anti champion mod. I've also suggested an exotic heavy sniper that's based off anti tank rifles IRL. Holding reload swaps between armor piercing (anti barrier) explosive overload, and heavy weight unstoppable rounds. It would be a single shot high damage sinper that can pierce 1 meter of materials, like walls, and shooting from a standing position applies a shell shock (slow penalty) for a few seconds.

Look,i get what you're doing. I really do. But the thing is, you want a weapon that goes around the entire reason the system is around in the first place. Think of it this way: with a weapon like that, what stops people from just creating a meta based around one person with that weapon and the rest of the fireteam with a damage loadout?

1 ReplyNah just give Darci this instead. It would make the gun actually be useful to use with how it works, lock onto the target and if it's a champion then it can Stun it once personal assistant procs. Give many players to actually use it in end game activities
