Banshee Rank progress feels way too slow
I've done 2 Gambit Resets, almost 2 Vanguard resets and played plenty of other stuff as well(dares, open world, raid etc.) but am only Rank 9 at Banshee. Just doesnt feel proportional.

1 ReplyPersonally I don't care for resetting him as the rewards after rank 12 are just an Ascendant Alloy and Shard. But I do admit, it is -blam!- up that I am 1588 on three characters, I always grab the 4 bounties, and I dismantle EVERYTHING, and I am rank 12 of 16. Last season I got to like 5 Gambit resets before resetting gunsmith.

They should keep his reset untouched until next DLC similar to Xur. I dismantle around 100 items a day and I am only rank 7.

Bungie has throttled him before. That's was a real stinker.

Its a Bungle classic, sour the deal little by little, until we are grinding for no reason and no benefit. When they introduced those dumb bounties that cost 3000 glimmer, every one of them awarded [i]Bright Dust![/i] Now they don't even award [i]REPUTATION[/i] with the Vendor! Every time Bungle gives us some [i]'benefit'[/i], you can guarantee they took something away somewhere else and hoped we wouldn't notice. Bottom line is that the people in charge at Bungie, are [i]still the same people that secretly throttled XP when players were gaining 'too fast'.[/i] We caught them doing it, so they 'stopped'... But their objectives remain the same, their ideology is the same, they are just being [i]sneakier about obscuring what they are doing![/i]

No its not. I'm on my third reset about to happen. Just make daily contacts every day, diamante legendaries and you will be fine.

I am Prestige 11 with Vanguard, Prestige 3 with gambit, Prestige 4 with Crucible and Prestige 1 with Banshee. I have totally forgot that Banshee even exists now. RIP Banshee.

I didn’t know ranking up banshee was of importance. I tend to forget he even exist.

Soooooo *shrug*. Whatever.

3 RepliesYou basically have to do the 4 daily bounties if you want to make progress. If you do all 4 bounties on all 3 characters in a day, it's 300 rep, Do that for a month, and presto, you're at reset. It is a super-boring way of progressing the rank, but if you are relying purely on dismantling stuff, it will take forever.

I'm usually there to collect bounties. Could care less about what I get from the engrams.

I agree, I do believe the gunsmith ranking is on the slow side. Considering just this season alone, I've had 13 Crucible, 2 Gambit almost 2 Trials, and 3 in Iron Banner, Almost 3 Sorrow, and almost a resets in Strikes. That is a metric button of loot, that I typically dismantle, and on one play session can grind out 1,000 to 2,000 legendary shards. From all the breakdowns. That is a no-life playtime, I know LOL I know lol, but my gunsmith only being one reset, after all of that. Is my reasoning on believing it is on the slow side

They're aware and probably won't change it for the simple fact it is the onlything to even do at this point.

I'm wondering what Bungie is going to brake next that they will add to the mile long list of things they broke alread. It's like their moto is, if it works, brake it.

Were you completing the gunsmith bounties as well while playing those activities? Cause I definitely think bungie balanced the rep gains with the idea that you’ll be constantly grabbing bounties. That being said it’s still quite slow either way, and constantly doing bounties shouldn’t be required to hit max rank in a season.

Haven’t even got to rank 16 for vanguard but reset the gunsmith last week. Do the daily bounties, if you are not doing them you will not reset it and can be done in a few minutes.
