Chaos reach needs small damage buff

After so much has been buff , enemies and guardians can easily walk lut escape and survive chaos reach and kill you out of it even when you shoot first . It has become reall obsolete against new subclass abilities. Its unfair. Test it yourself bungie

    • Well that one is arc, so I think we should wait until arc is reworked to see what happens, and how it goes. If the other classes seem that much better, that means Bungie has done something right with the reworks, so we could guess there is a good chance that arc will be better on rework. So hold out until that launch, then if it seems underwhelming after giving it a good run, bring it up again if you feel the need. That feels like the best course of action for it.

        • I think the AOE nerfs it received really did a number on it. The super being tied to geomags which were also nerfed certainly didnt help it either. Fingers crossed for a strong arc update!

        • Not going to happen because Arc 3.0 will most likely happen with next expansion (Light fall) I'm assuming that entire Mid tree will get destroyed by Bungie.

          • It’s crazy how both Nova bombs out damage it, even if you have geomags equipped. That’s 10 seconds of concentrating on a single target vs a 1 and done super, yet it does less damage. If you ask me Chaos Reach with geomags should do more single target damage than the Big Titan hammer Super

          • A super that prevents from using your weapons for 10 seconds ( who doesn’t run chaos reach without geomags) should be the highest DPS super in the game.

              Chaos reach got destroyed by the last nerf, bungie reduced the ttk across the board on chaos reach. Its a shell of what it used to be, chaos reach is going to cease to exist by next season. I bet you bungie is going to destroy another warlock identity and give ionic traces to all classes. I wouldn’t even be surprised if bungie gives arc web to hunters and titans. Blink might even be a thing for hunters again, goodbye warlock identity!

              • I'm just curious to see how warlocks get bent with arc though if ionic traces are intact Idc what the rest of it does as honestly arc in of itself is alright not endgame usable but bungie doesnt like options so I don't expect it to change

                Chaos Reach is... meh at best without Geomags. Thing is gonna need a big DPS buff and maybe have it chain lightning too (arc 3.0 is supposed to be all about chaining) But first, Day Break needs a mega super duper damage buff. Thing really is a Weewee Blade now, and not the frightening kind of Weewee Blade. Wet hotdog boi

              • Feels pretty weak right now, probably intentional as they'll overhaul it in Arc 3.0 and make it feel like a buff to boost arc 3.0 ratings

              • The point of chaos reach is having a high damage super that can be used frequently. However, the nerfs have removed that functionality.

                • They literally ruined my favorite subclass in the game and the exotic tied with it for Basically no other reason other then pvp cry babys complaining about it. I used it all the time, especially in pvp and no one said a thing or hardly used it in pvp. Then suddenly It was the only thing that could counter stasis crutchers in pvp (thats when the complaining started) so when they nerfed stasis all the braindead pvp cryers started abusing it next because thats how meta crutchers work and now we have the pathetic subclass it is today. Literally all they had to do was address the AOE and uptime in pvp and it would have solved everyone's complaints... Instead they literally neutered it. Ruined it for all other end game activities and neutered any kind of utility it had. It received the most nerfs ive ever seen to a singular subclass... And only like a month or two after it finally got the buffs it needed. If they dont address this or do what they did to dawnblade to chaos reach im probably done with this game, no cap. So sick of toxic game devs and the toxic playerbase ruining this game

                      It needs buffs in general, not just to damage. It is far too reliant on Geomags, which themselves are not what they used to be. There's a lot of talk about how godawful Daybreak is in Solar 3.0, and quite rightly so, but no one seems to have picked up on the fact that Chaos Reach without Geomags somehow does [i]even less[/i] damage than Daybreak in roughly the same period of time. I don't get the argument of it being good at ad-clear either. For that purpose, Stormtrance is infinitely better. Besides, it's not like Blade Barrage can't be used to kill groups of enemies that are far apart, yet that can have both the highest total damage [i]and[/i] highest burst damage at the same time. Also pls can Warlocks get an Exotic for Arc 3.0 centred on Storm Grenades, they're the best and I'm not looking forward to the other classes getting their hands on them.

                    • I think it's still a decent super as is. It's good at add clear, good at boss damage, and had good range. There's plenty of videos showing it's that it's still in the top 5 best damage supers, and you can deactivate it to save it or if you die mid super you save that energy. Honestly I don't see bungie buffing it because it's good at so many rolls that if they made it a master at any specific roll then it would be OP.

                        Have you tried Geomags? When they removed Sprinting to Top Off they doubled the super energy you get from it to compensate. It's amazing. You could kill a primevil from full health with it Geomags makes it last so long. Before primevils became health gated. It is perfectly fine with Geomags if not o.p. seriously try it on a huge health target. But obviously if that isn't enough for you at least wait till Arc 3.0 to say something.

                        • It needs to be half the time and the same damage as it is now. That way you can put out the damage faster. And arc 3.0 needs to make it so multiple arc hits on an enemy increase the damage of the next arc hit.
