Progressing crafted weapons is ridiculous slow!

How fkn annoying and boring to progress crafted weapons by the time you can craft it with the perks you like it already dropped at least 5 times, how dull are these defs do they think all of us don't have a life? Why do we have to progress the same weapon make it a once of thing ffs! and give us more perk options and combinations some of the weapon options are just crap and not even worth it also give us a stasis glaive on the kinetic slot with osmosis and adaptive munitions so that we can have something usefull in more difficult activities

  • Wow. Is it really THAT hard to spend a bit of time with the gun you're going to craft into your own "God Roll"? I can't believe people wanna complain about this. Maybe go play another game where you can win in 5 minutes 🙄

    • I hate that the best way to grind out rockets is by playing Gambit, because you’re guaranteed heavy ammo, and there’s always a group of enemies to shoot at. I loved Gambit when it first came out. Grinded everything I need for the title in the last weekend before the season of the forge, only to get the last piece of gear I needed the day of, and was happy and exhausted all at once. I still think season of the drifter was almost one of the best seasons in Destiny, save for massive flaws in the activities. Gambit is nowhere near good right now, and the thrallway shouldn’t be the go to for grinding ( if it still counts, don’t remember if Bungie changed it or not)

        • I can't believe I have to craft a weapon, to level it, to then be able to choose my perks and pay again to recraft it.

        • I have the feeling that at the moment the Crafting System is aimed for the most dedicated players, those that really have the necessity for God Rolls Weapons (meant both in the sense of the best roll for a specific context and/or personalyzed rolls for specific builds). Dedicated PvP Players, those that play PvP competitively, that aim for the Flawless Pool in Trials for example, where one has to take in consideration the meta and be able to shift/deal with it, where Perks are important, but also stats make the difference. In PvE, maybe you want a specific roll for a Boss-Melting Damage Phase, or a very peculiar combination of Perks for an unique Build. Otherwise, God Rolls are really not a necessity for a substantial portion of players that can enjoy all the game Contents with regular Rolls that have those 1-2 perks combination for combo/builds. I'm one of them, btw.

          • I’ve austringer and beloved crafted to my preferred rolls so I’m done with crafting. The beloved was painful. It’s worth it but I felt actual pain grinding that 1

                • I agree not only does it take a bit of time, but when crafting a second of the same weapon you have to unlock the perks again. Too costly to keep changing weapon rolls so I need to have different copies. And the focusing cost / chance to aquire 5 red wrapped weapons is a serious grind, and I have 6 of the craftables from this season. Not to mention opulent focusing can only be farmed in one location which I so beyond boring me to death. Solution would be to lower the opulent focusing cost, and make opulent energy acquirable in multiple areas of the game, preferably everywhere. Then increase the likely hood of all haunted / opulent focused weapon engrams to be red wrapped. Then make activity completions give you a larger amount of exp on your crafted weapon to upgrade it faster.

                • I certainly agree that I shouldn't have to re-level up another Syncopation-53 if I want two separate rolls. The weapon pattern itself should be levelled up after it has been unlocked. You already have to get the materials for Enhanced traits and pay again every time you change the perks. More repetitive grinding does nobody any favours.

                • If you get a good roll initially why even craft? The enhanced perks aren’t game changing and what happens when Arc season arrives.

                    • I craft a lot and primary weapons are easy to level. Special and heavy weapons are a bit of a grind, even with ammo finders equipped. Overall I think it gives you a deeper appreciation for the weapon you’re crafting. Run strikes or low level NFs and try to use the weapon you’re leveling as often as you can and it goes much quicker. Those two activities give you your highest percentage toward leveling compared to anything else in the game. So run strike activities with the weapon equipped and you’ll thank me later.

last wish Shuro Chi Fastest way to grind out the first few levels then just play with the weapons if you don't like using them then don't level them. You must not have played D1 where you had to level every weapon to unlock it. *edit But, ya... the whole grind is grindy af and there needs to be changes, specifically to areas where you can't choose the gun you want to farm for ie. Duality.

                      • That’s why they should add double XP events probably on the weekend maybe twice a month or just once plus have it towards where it’s active on all activities.

                      • Deadfall tether at shuro chi definitely helps a lot with progressing quickly for special and heavy weapons. Might want to grab a few raid banners first though to keep your ammo full and super energy up, or bring a primary weapon you also want to level

What gets me is by time you get to craft one and level it up you've got to be aware theirs a chance it'll be nerfed after more time put into say gun than 10 exotic catalysts combined

I think psiops still gives the most progress but I haven't jumped into one of those since last season. What I've done is just sit at the opening of grasp & farm the cave 100 kills a level Further testing it's not 1:1 in grasp like it was last season. It's 120 kills to go up one level.

                          • I don’t mind the progress. I don’t like the rng behind this season’s craftable weapons. Especially the 2 dungeons weapons

                          • I think its fine, what I really want is the patterns to be reduced to 3 instead of 5. Its just too much considering how many weapons we can craft this season alone.
