168 Atheon Clears, No Vex
Bungie, I have wanted this gun since it was released. I don’t believe in your vex mythoclass algorithm and I don’t believe I will be able to enjoy this game much longer… if I continue to open Atheons Chest, without the Vex within. I have a life just like anyone else and my failed attempts toward a hopeless RNG are draining me of mine. I’ve been a dedicated fan of Bungie since Halo 1 and I’d like to stay the course. Please save a fan and a player in your player base. My Xbox live gamertag is Vyio. Please help me with this “RNG” before i drop Destiny 2 forever.

6 RepliesAlthough there are reports that you can farm VoG for Vex, I am skeptical that this is true. Your 200+ cp clears is pretty good evidence of this. Stick to 1 clear per character per week until you get the Vex. Good luck.

2 RepliesDon't have an exotic in your inventory. Run a low power level energy weapon. No guarantee, but make the game think you need an energy weapon.

1 ReplyIt was 100% farmable this week (I got it after 15 or so repeat runs on same character on Tuesday), but I wouldn’t be surprised if they set it to significantly lower the drop rate (likely a tenfold decrease to 0.1%) once you complete your 3 character runs for this week. Some guys in the group with me had been farming for 12+ hours with no luck which seems to confirm that theory.

Thats running every week all three characters per week. This week is the first its been farmable and will go away after this week. So again I highly doubt you've ran 3 characters per week since launch as bad luck protection would be at max and you would have gotten it. To add to that the majority of your clears are this week, only atheon. This does not add but 1 week of badluck protection that you would normally get. You were better off running it weekly since release to get your bad luck protection up.

Get to the end, snag a checkpoint for all 3 characters at atheon. Boom, 3 easy chances from one raid run per week. If you don't have 3 characters, you're missing extra chances.

My best advice is to cycle characters you complete aethon with each week. Doing it on the same character didnt garner me a vex drop at all. It wasnt until i switched onto my Titan, the other character, that it dropped after my 36th attempt.

2 RepliesWow, I stopped at 30-something. I'm grateful, it made me realize how much time I was sinking into something I no longer enjoyed. I still hop on as free to play with the old clanmates but no repetitive season number chase for me.

The rare drops need to be in the kiosk gated behind marks of conquest as a hedge against bad RNG.

I've started calling their raid protection Santa. You've never seen it, there's no proof, you're just asked to believe in it so that one day that shiny gold gift will be on there. Having mods come in and say it's there doesn't change anything, I've still never seen it, it's just others trying to keep me believing. (I saw a ninja claim bad RNG protection is in every raid in another post)
