Master sectors drop rates are ridiculous
I done 15 so far and no exotic we need to be guaranteed one for every 3

Yep. If you complete a master version of lost sector, killing all the champions and didn't die... Exotic drop should be guaranteed and exotic should have stats above 60!

6 RepliesI really don't understand two things: When people gripe about lost sectors and overload champs. If you are referring to the drop rate of getting the new exotic, it really isn't that bad and I suppose it really depends upon your light level and loadout but I never have much trouble with them. Average between 5-10min per run, maybe 7 runs to get the new exotic on average? Doesn't seem like such a bad trade to me. Last Saturday I was able to snag all 3 new exotics within a cpl hours of playing AND they were all above 60. Since it was Sat morning, it was still the previous day's LS which is where I got the Warlock boots (took 8 runs), then upon the daily reset I jumped in on my Titan (took 1 run) and then jumped onto my Hunter (took 5 runs). I think your statement of it should drop within 3 runs is a bit silly, I would say within 10 runs you are guaranteed a drop. If I don't get one within 10 runs (has happened before) then I will take a break.

It’s a little weird. I could go for a few exotics and get them in my first to fourth try. Then sometimes I’m spending all night completing sectors in sub 5 min on my thirty -blam!- run and nothing. Login the next day, first completion bam! There it is. Idk wtf is wrong with the RNG.

Master imo should be farmable with a fireteam. It would give players the ability you know to play with friends/family. something this game constantly tries to sell you on. Legend is just complete joke with how easy it is anyway

Stopped attempting them after the champions were impossible to beat the first season they started with this nonsense. Never had a problem with champions anywhere else. Saw posts addressing lost sector issues so I figured I would see if anything changed. Ran metamorphosis today a bunch of times on my titan and warlock. Got two exotic chest pieces. I got the worst titan chest piece, IMO, the ice wall one. I got Starfire Protocol with my warlock, that’s already a world drop for me, lol, I have a couple of them. Not a very good joke. Would have been really cool to get mantle of battle harmony. So it’s a joke, just a joke. Probably a new bug that will be patched. The best map builders, weapon makers, sandbox and game world techs. The worst managed business ever. It is beyond belief. It costs money to make exotic armor. You gotta pay people to do it, lol. Instead of it being a marketing tool, poor management turns it into a negative. Put them behind the seasonal exotics for paying customers. Put them behind vendor resets. At some point someone needs to step in and ask why this game cannot attract new customers, it has flatlined for years. This is just another instance.

Edited by KarN: 6/10/2022 3:53:00 PMI ran 50 Legend Conflux and then 50 Master Conlfux yesterday and had one Caliban's hand drop (on the 4th legend run). The roll was so trash I ended up infusing it into legendary arm's just out of spite. Spent almost an entire day doing nothing but those lost sectors for no reason at all. Caliban's Hand was the sole reason I was doing them and for 1 really poor roll to drop. Makes me not want to play the game due to the infuriating RNG this game has. I should also mention that because of that trash roll that dropped early, it completely screwed my RNG for the drop rate, as I ended up getting about 10 other exotic arm's. Like 4 Renewal Grasps that I will never use as I dont use stasis.

1 ReplyThat’s why you do legend. Ever since beyond light legend drop rate has been higher. Also make sure you get platinum everytime too. I got new exotics on first try this season on two characters on the moon.

That’s why I don’t do master ones. I found out shortly after they launched that doing legend ones is more efficient because bungie doesn’t appropriately reward the time consumption required for master. I can run 2-3 legends in place of 1 master with less risk and a more casual experience but drop rate of master doesn’t feel 3 times higher or even any better at all.

Best by hovering the mouse on the map god rolled exotic should drop into the inventory at max level.

I’ve always thought that the lost sectors are only there to get the exotics you’re missing as any missing exotics seem to drop right away. For different rolls on exotics I’ve always thought that bungie intend us to run the nightfalls at higher difficulties. The 2 activities to provide different services.

I have done 100 sectors with no drop. I gave up. You would think bungie could drop something pertinent to the season from the rank up, but that won't happen either. Why care about the people paying for the game!

LS used to be a great avenue to acquire exotics & better exotic rolls. Now they're like a prison sentence of 20 clears to get a bad roll on a new exotic for your collections.

Yeah. Just do Master for the triumph, then only do Legendary. Drop rate is much better, and it’s much easier and faster to run through.

Longest one for me took 22 tries but that’s on two characters and 6 on my last. But then there’s other times where it only took me four or less.

Yep, join the club. 6 runs and so far the best I've gotten is 6 enhancement cores total.
