Since the removal of blink when transferring from destiny one to destiny two, should they get it back in arc 3.0? or should it be moved to an exotic to compensate for their st0mp-EE5 being nerfed? Why or why not?

so hunters had blink back in d1 for arc blade dancer, i think it would be only fair for warlocks to get ionic blink for an air dodge, just about everything else is being taken away from a warlock making the other classes op why not blink..... 3.0 has mostly been warlocks getting what makes them unique taken away and shared T.T and titans are still get buffed...

If you even mention hunters in this community the tears poor out 😂 blink isn’t what it used to be but in the right hands it’s amazing for movement. Aerial combat has been nerfed to shambles anyway so that argument against hunters having blink isn’t viable. It was an original ability back in D1.. hunter got one of their d1 knife abilities back so why not blink? The titan exotic isn’t a valid argument either because it wasn’t a class based movement ability.. it’s essentially a added perk of a exotic they won’t be adding.

2 RepliesBlink is trash in this game without Astrocyte. You can literally shoot at the empty space where the blink user once was and still damage them. This is a non-issue.

2 RepliesEdited by WulfPak666: 6/8/2022 6:42:10 PMI don't know why you'd want to nerf yourself with blink. Blink in Destiny 2 sucks huge balls. Heck, blink in D1 got absolutely shafted by the end of it's lifespan too. Heck, Warlocks don't even use Blink unless they have Astrocyte permanently stapled to their skull. It's the only thing that makes Blink useable. Unless Blink itself gets a full on rework I don't think it'll ever be a "good" choice for a jump ability. Now what about an in-super blink like Ionic blink? Imagine a stick twirling little scuzzy butt blinking everywhere... Overpowered as hell. What about a Titan Fart missile that can blink during it's flight... Good God.... Chaos Reach.... That can blink during it's beam to quickly reposition and zappy zap... Holy Hollywood Elite Scandals Batman!!

I say give hunters the option between dodge and blink.
-
Blink? No. All classes could use new jump abilities though. With solar 3.0 we finally got our first new class ability since launch. More of that would also be nice.
-
5 RepliesBlink is a Warlock ability, that was stolen by Hunters. I'd say give it to them, its not op movement in the slightest with what Blink is now. They are also gonna miss out on Astrocyte Verse. Also, give Titan's a movement ability.

1 ReplyEdited by kruze: 6/8/2022 4:07:39 PMI like how the arguments against hunters getting blink in this thread are primarily based on the recent revelation that bungie won’t be giving titans an air-dodge back because it’s apart of “the warlock identity”. Brainless community. Arc hunter had blink from the moment vanilla destiny 1 launched, just like warlocks did. Titans received an air dodge in the form of an exotic that was added into the game in year 2 or 3 of destiny 1. It can entirely be argued that blink is apart of both warlock and hunter “identity”. I get that some people are mad about the bungie dev tweet regarding titans air dodge, but use some logical thinking instead of “if titans can’t have Icarus, hunters can’t have blink”. Argument sounds like it was made by 8 year olds. I can take this a step further. If you want to die on the class “identity” hill for abilities going forward, by that logic hunters should get things like double shadestep on void and built-in QuickDraw on arc subclass back lmao.

*Annoying Bungo dev voice* No, my dear little friend, you see, we have stolen blink from hunters just like we stole icarus dash from Titans to give to Warlocks, and I want to assure you that Hunters will never blink again. It's part of the warlocks' toolkit now. I just wanted to rip that band-aid off. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH They should give Hunters back blink, but they probably won't because of some stupid reason like the one listed above.

If twilight garrison is part of the warlock identity then so is blink
-
24 RepliesBlink is really part of the identity of Warlocks. If Hunters want it, they can use the exotic helmet.
-
4 RepliesHELL NO
-
Bring back blink and the original D1 graviton helmet back
-
2 RepliesOnly if titans get it too, we had to share our suppressor nades
-
If titans also get it then sure
-
Why not, everything else is being shared between the classes, so much for individuality...
-
15 RepliesSorry, Blink is part of the Titans' identity now...MWAHAHAHAAAAAHA!!!

I would like to see it comeback but I don’t think it will.
-
7 RepliesOf course they should get it back. Doubt its going to happen though.

2 RepliesEdited by Dogma: 6/7/2022 5:18:58 PMI play all three classes, but most of my time is on hunter. I say go ahead, I don’t mind. Blink is still and forever will be crap unless used correctly so it doesn’t matter. I would say it should replace dodge as Phoenix dive replaces rift, maybe make it a shorter range and not vertical if it does become a class ability. If it becomes a jump then it’s gonna bring more attention to how bad it is in pve and possibly get it buffed, so yeah sure I’m on board with bringing it to hunters. Edit: I would like to say that using blink in raid jumping puzzles is fun, go try it. It’s bad but super rewarding if you make it the whole way through using blink.

2 RepliesDude blink is hot garbage without Astrocyte Verse, idk why y’all want it so badly.
-
I also forgot to say why or why not.
