If you’re going to have a hardcore objective mode for Iron Banner, then you need to fix matchmaking/lobby balancing.

It goes so far beyond that. I have played several matches today with enemies taking no damage at all. Or not even showing up on screen. It's god awful.

23 RepliesYour looking at this the wrong way. If you are trash at PVP like me then your not gonna progress in Rift IB by winning. You"ll gain your progression by wearing IB armour, with IB ornaments on that armour and using a IB banner That'll bring your XP progress up by X-8.8 We are there to make up the numbers, nothing more

The issue since day 1 is their inability to put put together fair matches. They just pander to the elite who put youtube videos and twitch channels up. There are 2 people in the back of the map emoting and not even playing this pos game mode on my team right now. Because it sucks! The game mode itself isnt terrible, but the mode coupled with a crap matchmaking system makes it the worst IB experience ever.

I agree, most of my matches are 0-5 or 5-0. I have only had 2 matches that ended in a tie and the multispark shows up, that is fun imo. PLaying 18 matches on all 3 characters has been mindnumbing.

4 RepliesYeah, iron banner definitely needs some kind of sbmm. I played a lot of rift yesterday, probably far too much… but if you look at my games you’ll notice that a lot of them are steamrolls.

Have a heart, think about the poor guys who sit around playing videogames all day and getting paid for it, what else can they possibly do with their lives?

I don’t get it at all. I would say 1 in 7 matches have been competitive. The rest are all one sided. However, when I look at the stats, the K/d ratings are all pretty close, for the lobby.

Perfectly put. Hardcore objective rift is not the issue. Its the fact this matchmaking is the worst Ive seen for any pvp in history. I have won every match tooth and nail. Yet, Ive been 5-0 shut out 6 times this banner. The system is the problem, not the mode

Making a 6v6 competitive game mode is a terrible idea when this community hates the competitive playlist as it is. Hell, people weren't even playing CONTROL right before this season. Every season there's several posts and hundreds of comments about how people are supposed to play the objective and some just rant about playing however they want. Somehow bungie then ignore that and think the solution to PvP's problems is not only a worse version of rift overall but enforcing teamwork when nobody works as a team as it is. Like, why bother having 12 second respawn timers unless you're rezzed when you're clearly never going to get rezzed...

2 RepliesI don't know, I just got the Iron Lord Title, then went back to regular control for my weekly and regular control was 100% cancer. I would rather keep playing Rift then Control now.

They need to balance the bottem 4 worst players and split them evenly between the teams. Currently it's possible to get a team with the 4 worst players in the lobby, plus 2 of the top players since the top 4 are balanced.

2 RepliesIf this game has SBMM how much worse would the severs be? I’m ok with getting steamrolled as long as the match is over within 5 mins and the lobby isnt filled with laggy players Pvp can be frustrating, but I don’t let it bother me too much.

Rift hardcore objective mode? Feels more like Mario Kart but missing a wheel.

8 RepliesWe’ve been saying out loud to the -blam!- that their pvp matchmaking is and has been asscheeks for the longest. They just don’t wanna publicly acknowledge that they’re gonna even attempt to fix it which says a lot. They don’t give a damn and never will about how -blam!- their pvp is.
