Literally the most annoying concept of Destiny 2, just let me play the story freely and not force people wait a whole week for a 5min long mission just to force them to wait again.
-
At least the upgrades arent timegated for the first time ever.
-
They do it to make it seem like there is way more content than there really is.
-
to show that whole seasonal content is worth 1 day of playing? Not gonna happen
-
15 Repliescomplains about having to do a story mission per week complains about the story being too short pick one of the two
-
1 ReplyThey dont want you to see all the re-skinned old worn out story they stole from shadowkeep so quick! In order for the expansion to feel like a success, they time gate it so you dont stop playing after 2 days of realizing they dont have 3 months worth of -blam!- to do! There is a reason we didnt get the trailor until the day before! Every season is overhyped and underwhelming!
-
2 RepliesHow about forget about Destiny for 8 weeks and play in other games. Then comeback and do everything in couple of weeks?
-
And each week you gotta replay the same seasonal actively and open a chest
-
4 RepliesLol, like 52 steps or something too..not even gonna bother
-
3 RepliesJust done. It's all so unoriginal. Destiny use to have no story... Now it has a stupid uninteresting story spoon fed to us with reissued assets. Haunted is bad. It is utter crap. Looking forward to Solstice.lol.
-
They dont want you to finish their hour long added story within the hour. 🤷♂️
-
1 ReplyHow else will they keep the attention of the people who grind out literally everything within the 1st day of launch
-
2 RepliesIf I wanted to watch a "To Be Continued..." plot, I would watch any Shonen anime.
-
Yeah, not a huge fan of it either. Like I understand why they do it, but I'd rather just have it all as a mini-campaign to run at once so I can focus on other activities after that.
-
8 RepliesThey need to remove most of the time gate in general. It seriously hurts this game. We should have the dungeon day 1. Trials should be here the first week. Waiting until the 3rd weekend is ridiculous. Just those changes alone would make this first week WAY BETTER.
-
4 RepliesIf they did that you guys be complaining in 2 hours, “no content”!
-
It's a live game. It's supposed to unfold in real time.
-
5 RepliesIf it annoys you so much I recommend the following: * Stop playing til the last 3 weeks of the season (if you want to experience the story alone) * In the meantime, play singleplayer games (which are designed for exactly the experience you demand here) * Come back in said 3-weeks before season end and finish the story. Easy. No one is forcing you to play Destiny 2 all day, all week, all year. No one but yourself.

9 RepliesI almost just quit mid mission. That stupid immortal cabal ghost is so -blam!- annoying. It's not clever. It's not scary. It's not hard. It's just annoying. The whole mission was annoying as -blam!-. Tedious. Boring. The final boss fight was so poorly executed. And then of course, same recipe as before. Some 8 minute mission then -blam!- off wait for next week to do another, annoying, boring 8 minute mission. I didn't even pay attention to what we was happening. How did the story "evolved" from whatever was happening last season to this??!?!
-
No dude! Then with the 10 light levels and the Dungeon already coming Friday you would have nothing to do in 10 days.

16 RepliesIf the full story of a season was released day one and you finished in one sitting, would you complain then next 11 weeks that the seasons are trash for having "no content" because you rushed through it? I much prefer a paced out story to keep me coming back and re-engaging with other aspects of the game in the meantime. If all you're interested in is the story, I suggest save the money and watch it on YouTube from a CC. Last season was boring because season story was front loaded in about 5 weeks and then there was literally nothing happening.
-
9 RepliesBecause then people would more easily realize that these seasons they've been buying for $10 a pop is for only about an hour of actual content.
-
I actually really like the timegated story because it kinda prevents burnout and it makes the season feel more like an actual season.
-
I already know what’s gonna happen we gonna kill fat guy since his voice lines was leaked then a few months ago some more -blam!- was data mind we get to help Ana then we gotta kill what’s her face ghost an crow will play part in that season 🤣
-
I don't really have a problem with timegated story, it's the inevitable filler grind missions that agitate me.
