Making flinch resistance intrinsic to resilience gives Titans an absolutely free super buff since resilience is tied to their class ability. They will have to give up nothing to receive this benefit whereas Warlock and Hunter will. This is completely unfair and shows what we all think, which is that Bungie favors Titan class. If unflinching is going to be tied to resilience then class abilities should have their own stat independent from base stats similar to the new airborne effectiveness will be.

3 RepliesTo play devil’s advocate, couldn’t the same be said about the other two stats? Mobility and recovery have always been touted as giving the best bang for your buck in stat investment, which would, by your logic, mean that the other classes got those benefits “for free” as well. For the most part no one considered resilience to be on par with the others, and now people think it might. Wouldn’t that be putting the “Titan’s stat” back into equal footing? I think overall you might just be viewing this from the wrong angle of sorts.

5 RepliesWe might not have to give up anything, but that also comes with a cost. If you don't run close to max resilience on titan both your barrier and an entire super is objectively worse than it could be
-
2 RepliesI don't think Bungie favors any class over another. That being said... I don't see an issue with flinch being based on resilience. Maybe we'll get better mods to replace the "unflinching" mods we currently have. I play all three - Hunter has more time than the others. They're all fun to play. They all have strengths and weaknesses.

2 RepliesI think that you need to take a step back and think why are all Titans suddenly 100 resilience? Void 3.0 is the answer, for overshield spam BUT this change for resilience isn't coming until next season right? Next season there will be the next subclass revamp and you know when Bungie add/revamp something it will almost always be OP for a while and if it is the majority will use it. So my point being the next subclass changes may offer 0 extra benefits for placing walls, discouraging the average Joe from worrying about completely maxing the stat. Of course there will be outliers and people who've taken the time to ensure they can have multiple max stats I mean hell I'm guilty of it my hunter build is disgustingly stacked lmao. And last thing I'm actually stealing from someone else who commented because they made a dang good point : most people agree that mobility and recovery have more or less always been 2 of the top 3 most important stats, both of which are granting extra class ability benefit to hunters and warlocks respectively. So isn't it kind of fair that resilience be made important?

they re pumping too much into one stat that mostly benefit one class thats the problem right now resilence is hp bonus stasis resistance class ability cd decrase on titan and will be flinch resistance going by bungo logic mobility should give more accuracy in air with the changes but ofc they wont do that coz every hunter is forced to run 100 mob and it would benefit hunter the most.
-
2 RepliesHunter main, lmao imagine that!
-
1 ReplyConsidering that reilisience is a wasted stat otherwise, I have no problem with it. Mobility and Recovery have always been valuable stats on their own, as well as tied to class ability cooldown, so Resil has always seemed like a major outlier.
-
It’s 10% at 100 resilience, as long as you have 30 or 40 resilience, you’re good.
-
5 RepliesBuddy have I introduced you to the recovery stat?
-
Just like lightweight weapons and hunter dodge cooldown

Edited by piratepatchy243: 4/23/2022 12:41:45 PMUm recovery was basically the only stat to care the most about for a good while. This was untill the introduction of perks like powerful friends and radiant light. Min-maxing has been made easier since then, and this really doesn't make a difference between classes.
-
Its 10% at 100 resilience not the end of the world if you don't stack resilience
-
I mean titans didn’t even focus on Resilience anyway because it benighted nothing but the bubble. And even then a Titan should never run bubble with less than 70 resil plus helm of the Saint. So now it gives titans more of a reason to focus on something other than mobility and recovery.
-
5 RepliesThey'd already added Stasis resistance to Resilience too, if memory serves. Seems a little much.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Huginn: 4/23/2022 3:55:34 PMI see your point but honestly, I like this change because it gives Bubble a huge upside; over shield, weapons of light, max flinch resistance, add on the short barricade for stability and even more flinch resistance and that's really cool. And Bubble is mostly used in PvE anyways ... yes there is the GOAT Sheik, but he's unique. Edit: I'm a hunter main.

Recovery has been mandatory on basically every class, every build ever since at least armor 2.0, and only changed recently with some void 3.0 setups, namely titan's. This really isn't new that the game is wanting you to dip into the "other classes'" stats to get a tangible benefit.

This is completely unfair and shows what we all think, which is that Bungie favors Titan class.
LMAO this game has been catered to Warlocks and Hunters for the past 5 years by making Recovery the best and almost mandatory stat for PvP, but the second Resilience is now looking to be somewhat useful outside of surviving Thorn or sniper bodyshots, you cry "BUNGIE BIAS!!!"
-
2 RepliesYou can always find armor with more resilience on your Hunter. Seems fair enough
-
33 RepliesEdited by reenry: 4/23/2022 7:35:14 AMIt doesnt matter. Resilience is current the worst stat in the game also who cares. Class identity??? Most people max recov discipline. Even on my titan I have 60 res which most people end up with by the end of masterworking also favors titan. just nerfed barricade and stasis super is god awful. warlock based game >:)
