Hammer of Sol and Sunspots Nerf PvP (Needs Help)

Recently the Sunspots on bottom Tree Sunbreaker Titan received nerfs to its damage in PvP. Assuming this is largely (if not entirely) due to the new Exotic Helm, Lorely Splendor. Personally, I kinda agree with the damage nerf from 250-75. While I hear other titans complain it's too much, and I kinda agree it may have gone too far, I more so want to talk here about the Super specifically, and why the Super needs help. Currently Hammer of Sol is a Tier 1 Super, meaning it's base CD is tied for the longest super in the game, tied with things like Spectral Blades, Winter's Havoc, Glacial Quake, and Fist of Havoc. All some of the most potent supers. Hammer of Sol on both bottom and top tree Sunbreaker for sure deserved to be in this tier, however, due to the sunspot nerfs, bottom tree Sunbreaker, which was arguably the much more prefered PvP tree due to sunspots mechanics, feels really bad now. It feels much like a Daybreak without the mobility, projectile speed, and tracking. Before this wasn't an issue cause even if you missed your target, you could spawn sunspots which could be used as a zooning tool for your prey. It also made up for the lack of an AoE explosion top tree Sunbreaker has. Since the Sunspots do so little damage, and people can just walk through them, landing the hammer directly is a must. I feel that if the nerfs to damage remain on sunspots, either the super should be brought down to a Tier 2 or Tier 3 super, probably 2 (1 additional tier up). Alternatively, sunspots could ramp up in damage during the Super or apply an additional tiny burn to targets while in Super. This would give a minor zoning tool that was lost as even if the burn was 3-4 seconds with 1 damage each second, it would force the target to seek cover or risk a teammate catching them wounded after avoiding you by running through a sunspot. Let me know what you guys think, and thx for reading. :)

  • Sunspot damage was fine before because it required an ability kill to start chaining sunspots. Sun warrior is a fantastic dmg/ability regen buff but again, always required an ability kill to get it. Loreley breaks that balance so they gutted the dmg. Kinda kills all other bottom tree builds.

  • I personally think it’s fine as is. The utility you get from sunspots is immaculate - the helmet makes this on demand.

    • You wanna know what I think? I think you should wait until solar 3.0 before asking for any buffs.
