TL;DR Shorten the timer in Crucible similar to Benevolent Dawn and Heart of Inmost light, something like 3 - 6 seconds from 5 - 10 seconds
Invisibility is super strong in a First Person Shooter (no matter how "Visible" you truly are), as simply getting the first shot on someone while they are trying to play "I spy a transparent background with a purple aura" usually nets you the kill (for a comparison on how strong this is, Apex Legends has a character, Mirage, built solely around this idea, though instead of straight up invisibility, he has a decoy)
Currently, with how invisibility works, it lets you get 5 to 10 seconds of invisibility (With the Echo of Persistence and Graviton Forfeit), which, in a game like Destiny, is SUPER long; you can cross entire maps before your invisibility runs out, while also getting your abilities back to stay invisible (Gambler's dodge, Graviton Forfeit, Omnioculus are some strong contenders), in other words, it's strong and almost constantly up.
A proposed way to solve this is reducing the time Invis stays up in Crucible, similar to other things already adapting this change. Benevolent Dawn, Middle Tree Solar Warlock's passive ability, has its uptime reduced by half, from 6 seconds to 3 seconds, and Titan's Heart of Inmost Light also has its uptime Halved, from 10 seconds to 5; this confirms that it is not only possible, but also an already established change to crucible.
Ty for coming to my TED talk, get out of my house.
