Legend lost sectors are terrible
Drop rates are horrible and also shouldn’t be the only way to acquire new exotics.

Totally agree. I just ran nine of the most boring legend lost sectors solo. It's not fun to spam the identical activity solo with the same loadout, same modifiers, same enemy spawns, back to back indefinitely for RNG to bless you with an exotic. Bungie, please, for the love of god, change this -blam!- piece of the game.

just spent 6 hours -.- farming a lost sector 87 runs for exotic arms and im done after not getting necrotic grips after 87 frickin times this is just not even fun id rather play another game at this point then haveing to be forced to run the same -blam!- lost sector 100+ times for 1 copy of the exotic i want its ridiculas and the dev should be ashamed -.-

I have a suspension that bungo linked legendary lost sector with the legendary campaign. Hear me out, I completed the legendary campaign on my warlock and got the boots from Ikora (before it stated not to). The first legendary lost sector I ran (by accident) was for the arms and they dropped. I have seen other people saying the same thing. I only completed the regular campaign on my other two characters. I have attempted the helmet twice on my titan and once on my hunter and nothing. Multiple times on different days. I feel that this is similar to the xp throttling incident in early D2. Rare drops are fine but if bungo is hiding an estimated drop rate behind vague wording this becomes an issue. I say bungo provide players with actual numbers.

Just get the new exotics 1 time and then they are in your exotic loot table

1 ReplyBefore the WQ, it took just a couple of runs, to get an exotic, BUT now.. I’m getting none, doesn’t matter if I go flawless or do it on regular/master, last week I spent more than 4 hrs on my warlock trying for the new exotic leg armour, the only thing I was rewarded with was glimmer and enhancements cores. Even going to orbit wait a few min, n then back down, but nope. My hunter thou, always getting drops of exotics, anywhere in the game. I can have btwn 4-5 drops of exotics a week just by doing patrols, but that only happens on my Hunter. I dunno why that is, but running a lost sector and only getting glimmer/cores kinda suck.

drop rates are -blam!- but a legend loss sector can be done between 5 to 10 minutes if you have the right load out. I took a break for a year, my buddy asked if I could farm them for him when we were hanging out and I did while being rusty. Just watch a guide

TLDR Legendary lost sectors are braindead as fkk Locked equipment and forced to use sh*t gear! Bungie need to stop smoking that weed!

Another problem is you cant go for the exotic you want everyday because they are on a rotation. its just simply too much to ask. allow us to get the exotics with good rolls other ways. the legendary campaign should have at least decent rolls on armor. id rather have strange coins for exotics come back that way people are not left out with enough grinding anyone can get every exotic.

You’re only going to get replies saying ‘it only takes me 5/10 mins , they’re easy etc etc. Not helpful and it’s an excuse to dangle their balls. It takes me ten to fifteen in some and around 8/9 on easier ones…. Some I’ve given up on. I found getting under ten mins gets me the exotic almost always within three shots. I also found spacing my Alts between resets works best, doing runs on another alt straight after getting a new exotic has never worked for me.

For those who never have to run more than 5x, it's not too bad. It's one of the easiest ways to acquire exotics without having a fireteam - and they're not even all that challenging. At least most of them can be completed in 5-10 minutes for even the most average of players. Now, imagine the RNG grind for Cloudstrike, or having only a maximum of 3 chances per week all while getting 5 other people together to run through an hour or more through a raid with only a 6% chance of getting a raid exotic. Or the good ol' days where if you didn't know how to platform, you weren't getting Whisper or Outbreak, much less their catalysts. The current iteration is a cakewalk compared to what it used to be prior to Shadowkeep. This is 100x more casual

After a couple runs go to orbit and try again. This has netted me an exotic most times.

Don't agree with you, it's decent content, not particularly difficult and a decent way to get exotic armour. They could introduce a cap on maximum runs it can take to get an exotic but that's about the only change needed imo. Guess I've been lucky because the maximum its ever taken me to get an exotic to drop is 7 runs.

Edited by Flake: 4/2/2022 11:51:07 AMLegend sectors are straightforward, and not particularly hard to farm though, its just all rng, and masters drop rate is not that much different either. That's why you should be taking breaks between runs, you can get something within 5 runs or 30+ runs
