Give Jade Rabbit a different exotic perk
Chaining body shots for bonus precision damage is underwhelming and useless. It's just like a special legendary and also outshined by Dead Man's Tale.
Rework the rabbit, please.

3 RepliesJade Rabbit is the best for its archetype. The only downside to using the weapon is its slow handling. Arguably, having to land 100% crits to achieve an optical ttk is a negative aspect of the weapon, but several other archetypes have the same requirements but a far slower ttk. They could buff the exotic perk to actually work in Crucible, so that it is possible to kill in 3 shots, even if one of the first 2 is a body.

I made a stupid joke about it having a perk like firefly that turns killed enemies into attack bunnies... But seriously... what if we just made the thing way out of the normal archetype, maybe like a scout rifle version of Ariana's vow. A LOT of recoil, a LOT of damage, uses special ammo. Called the Jade Rabbit because it bounces like a rabbit every time you pull the trigger. The alternate I thought of was each crit shot increases damage and recoil, each body shot reduces damage and recoil. That is similar to the dead man's tale but I mean not playing around, a lot of recoil and a lot of damage. so the effort isn't to maintain your headshots so much as trying to control the weapon. Possibly firing over cover greatly controls recoil... On paper it is the most damage dealing scout rifle in the game, maybe even outpacing most nonexotic snipers, IF you can keep it on target.

1 ReplyIntrinsic Overload... we have 3 Anti Barrier and 3 Unstoppable exotics but only 1 overload, aka Divinity.... 99.99% of players dont have it bc they never did GoS, much less get the puzzle done

If I could give it anything I would give it Subsistence or Unrelenting. The way I see it Jade Rabbit is really just a 150 Hand Cannon in disguise, and it rewards you for playing like an idiot. From what I have tested so far its ok for anything, even hipfire at point blank range, but it isn't strong at any one thing. Jade Rabbit catalyst is a fun little challenge, currently at somewhere near 160-250 kills.

4 RepliesThis, DMT beats it in every way I posted elsewhere a kill with jade shoud boost its rpm but slightly lower damage per shot for 5 seconds. 1kill increase rof to 180 but lowers damage by 10% per shot 2 kills increase rof to 200 but lowers damage by 20% per shot (of base damage) 3 kills increases rof to 260 but lowers damage by 30% per shot (of base damage) Additional kills reset timer

If it let you cheese 2 headshots and 2 body shots for a kill it wouldn’t be bad. But as is, 2 body shots and 2 headshots doesn’t kill, so bonus damage is pretty much useless.

Bruh a common tier scout is better than jade rabbit, that says a lot.

They need to drastically increase the precision damage bonus from the chained bodyshots, and maybe add a bonus effect like gaining damage resistance based on the number of stacks after landing a precision hit.

I got one of my We Ran Out Of Medals awards with the Rabbit while chasing the RTK. Gun worked fine for me at the time.

3 RepliesPretty sure Polaris Lance is better. With that I don't have to chain body shots; I can just spam crits all day and never run out of ammo while also getting a nice pop on every fifth shot.

Make it turn enemies including guardians into a rabid bunny rabbit that goes around attacking near by enemies. Like firefly or graviton lance but cuter.
