(SPOILERS for the Witch Queen Expansion)Confused on The Ghost That Gives Savuthan the Light

So I’ve been enjoying the new Witch Queen expansion and Season of the Risen, and I’ve been having lots of fun, but I am confused on one part of the story of the Witch Queen. So we know that Savuthan got the light when she died, which brought her back from the dead. Though the thing I am confused on is the Ghost that gives her the light. Why does the ghost that revives her already look like a hive ghost? I saw in a video that in her dying moments she was worthy of the light because it is just the worms that make her bad, but if no one has the light at this point in time, then how does the ghost have hive features. My theory is that the traveler wanted her to have a ghost that was so loyal(unlike Fynch) that they looked like they were part of the Hive. What do you guys think?

  • My understanding is savathun was selected to be a light bearer millions of years ago but the witness tricked her into accepting the worm god, making her no longer worthy. So that ghost has actually been waiting for a long time to bind with her.

  • Looks don’t make loyalty. Immaru knew he was meant for Savathun. So he made the Hive Shell.

  • A Ghost’s shell is something they can change on their own. Immaru being the -blam!- he is chose to look like the Hive before ever even getting to Savathûn.

  • The shell is just clothing.

    • Immaru, the Ghost shown, is mentioned to have been a bit of a bully amongst the Ghost population by our own Ghost when you first begin patrolling the Throne World. Makes sense that such a -blam!- would end up being edgy enough to get his hands on a bony shell. Would also explain why his differs from that of other Hive Ghosts.

      • Ghosts can choose what shell they want to wear. Another example of this is Glint, who also didn't have the Generalist Shell on when he revived Crow.

      • Immaru has been looking for Savvy for billions of years. It has clearly made him bitter and resentful of us "Neon Nerds".

      • Immaru was already a Ghost before Savathun died. I’m pretty sure ghosts can change their appearance and Immaru chose to look like the hive
