Hey I love Destiny but I don't wanna play PVE at all.
I just personally don't get any thrill or excitement out of shooting sponge bots (no offense).
I like paying for dlc's, season pass, and silver because I understand where that money goes and am more than happy and willing to help support bungie and staff. I would like the option to permanently lock all pve content on my account and just have full access to the full game loot pool from pvp drops.
I am happy to pay $85 for the legendary edition of witch queen on my account right now. I would be even happier to lock all pve content from it right now in order to NOT have to play any of the campaign or do all the chore-ish quest lines that gives me no sense of satisfaction. Can I just still get all the same weapons from actually having fun and just grinding in the crucible with friends instead.
I and others are more than willing to pay for the entirety of the dlc or season pass (plus more) and only be able to access a small portion of it. At the end of the day if I get the experience out of the game that I want, it will actually make me happy, I don't really care how much it costs.
I just mainly don't want to spend what little free time i have away from work and school, hopping from planet to planet shooting sponge bots for 4 hours straight just to get a specific gun. I'd rather spend that 4 hours staying in the crucible making new friends and shooting other players and have a random chance of getting that same gun.

I loved all the commenters here besides Darren. 👀

17 RepliesIts a looter shooter, if you dont like the genre go play CoD 🤷♂️. It all about the grind and always will be.

4 RepliesDude. This isn’t the game for you then.

And it's like honestly too if I want to get the story and the lore of destiny I'll just go watch my name is byf and it'll actually have a much better impact on me than playing through it. I wouldn't appreciate destiny's story or lore or symbolism as much if those videos didn't exist.

6 RepliesIf you have an Xbox, you could try halo infinite. It does not have the space magic mechanics destiny has, but it's pvp is free and is fun. It is destiny without overpowered supers or crazy op weapons (I know halo came first, but this is just to create an image for the OP).

1 ReplyLol worm on a fishhook

Honestly if they just made a mode/activity that was harder but bypassed the tedious grind I think that'd be good enough. The legendary campaign for 1520 gear was a good step in the right direction but they could go even further, like master or even GM difficulty campaign for a full 1560 gear set on each character. That way you can choose between grinding easy content or just knocking it out all at once if you're good enough.

2 RepliesSo, is this satire or a serious post? I honestly can’t tell anymore with the state the world is in right now.

12 Replies"I love destiny 2, but can I have an option to not have to play 90% of the game but still unlock all the goodies?" bro, what?

I feel the complete opposite. I hope the game stays as PvE as possible. I get no enjoyment out of the PvP. I do still enjoy running raids and dungeons with friends primarily, though I appreciate the amount of solo-able content available as well.

I don't like pve either. Took me two days to get through the campaign its so boring
-
I agree the pvp loot pool is tiny compared to the entire pve loot pool. They need to add more ways to acquire these weapons and armor. PVE is so boring to me and I wish there's more loot i could get from pve. ALL THE TIME YOU SEE PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING FORCED TO PLAY THE CRUCIBLE AND THE ONE TIME SOMEONE SAYS THE OPPOSITE SIDE EVERYOEN RAGES AND STARTS CALLING NAMES. the pve only community is so fragile xD

1 ReplyBungie is making a game for you called Matter Or play CoD lmao

30 RepliesEdited by OneLeanMachine: 2/26/2022 2:01:22 AMAs long as I get an option to lock out PvP content and never have to interact with the toxicity that is crucible and still get everything including trials weapons and iron banner weapons. Btw this isn’t sarcasm. I’d be genuinely okay with this, I get no enjoyment from running into stacks constantly who just stomp me with broken weapons and builds while I get increasingly frustrated.
-
6 RepliesSimple, all you have to do is to click on Crucible to play lol

10 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 2/24/2022 7:08:01 PMHave you tried Apex? Warzone? PubG? Halo: Infinite Insurgency: Sandstorm Or any other myriad of PvP games that don’t wreck PvE modes (due to nerf request from PvP)

While I get your problem, I have to say that I play both PvE and PvP in Destiny. And it would be annoying af to switch games every time I want to play PvP or PvE. Also, that would mean that players like me have to grind 2 DIFFERENT gear sets in both games, since Gear from PvE would be non-existent in a PvP-Standalone-Version of D2.

1 ReplyThis is the wrong place to ask for that. Not many crucible players, or at least, good crucible players in these parts
