I started playing D2 as a New Light around season of the Chosen without playing D1. I was under the impression that the starter campaign was a lot longer than it actually was. I was really dissapointed and confused by the end because it wasn't just short but barely explained anything about who these characters where and what was going on. Then I just got randomly thrown into the Season of the Chosen stuff and it became more confusing. This and there not really being much to do as a free to play player made me just not play the game for awhile. I eventually decided to start playing the game again but bought Beyond Light and Season of the Splicer so that I actually had stuff to do. I don't know if most players would give the game a second chance like I did. I enjoy the story but I had to go to YouTube to figure out what was going on. Vaulting all that content really hurt the game, from both a content and story prospective. The sad thing is that this will probably never get fixed. The only solution I can imedietly think of would be to bring that vaulted content back but it just doesn't seem like Bungie is interested in doing that.
