I do around 90% PvP, 10% pve

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 12/28/2021 10:54:43 PMId enjoy Pve more but without ingame matchmaking for many team based activities It has become stale. Shouldnt have to use apps outside the game to setup teams, have it as an option sure but everything should be ingame first. I do enjoy 6v6 pvp, 3v3 is boring imo so I avoid it and any 3v3 activity, sadly this included activities like trials and comp so Im only getting half an experience. That and the forced lagfest crossplay for trials its a big nope. Iron Banner I do enjoy but its loot and maps have become stale. I have always been a weapons first abilities second player, but the ability nerfs have imo removed what made D2 stand out over other fps games. If I wanted a COD or Battlefield experience Id play those. I preordered WQ so Ill give it a go but if the pvp changes(or lack of) keep on the boring path I cant see my focus remaining with the game sadly and ill likely go back to some 3rd person shooters and Borderlands for my looter shooter fix.

PvP used to be my jam. It’s so much more dynamic than PvE.
-
2 RepliesUsed to be both, now only PvE, I haven't touched PvP since the ultimate cheese called stasis was introduced, and from everything I've seen about how bad it's become, I'm not missing anything.
-
I don't enjoy pve, I enjoy getting loot from pve. In pvp, it will always feel good to prove your superiority to other players but in pve, I feel literally nothing. Like, am I supposed to feel special when I shoot a champion with the right kind of weapon or pour enough damage into a bullet sponge to kill it? It's just tedious and honestly I wouldn't play 90% of this game's pve if it didn't give loot.
-
Both are ok in moderation but the pve is very limited mostly repetitive grind
-
2 RepliesI enjoy PvP most, I only do not enjoy PvE when I’m doing a stupid mundane task repeatedly without any sortie motive.
-
Destiny for PvE Halo for PvP Though Infinite’s new campaign has a lot of great new PvE elements
-
Not even if you added the lowest and doubled the result. 😂
-
1 ReplyUnlike pve, I can never say I’ve really had fun in pvp. It’s always a chore, and something I only really do for loot or quests instead of for fun.
-
3 RepliesUsed to be an enthusiast for both. Now I just play PvE mostly. Killing the Pinnacle concept killed my enthusiasm for the PvP game mode. People always say PvP has amazing PvE weapons right now, but I don't see anyone ever using the god rolls because they're honestly just mediocre or copycat rolls are easier to grind for. Even then, I just play PvE for the story missions, new strikes, seasonal events, and dungeons. Admittedly, I barely play the Dungeons even though I love their concept. The Destiny PvE endgame is far too reliant on RNG to create a fulfilling sense of engagement. I play other games for a more fulfilling return on my grind investment. If Bungie ever drops the ball on the lore, I don't really plan on giving them any more money. I quit for over half a year before I joined back in Forsaken during Joker season, I can do it again.

PVE. I enjoyed Destiny 1 PvP for two years...but I have never liked what Bungie did with Pvp in Destiny 2. Their Crucible team is lost...and stuck in 2004. So much so, that I basically stopped playing Crucible. I'll go in their to get specific things accomplished, or to get certain quests or loot items. But to just play it for enjoyment? Nope. Don't enjoy it.

13 RepliesWhoa wasn't expecting that much of a difference. Yikes. The good news is that it looks like there's going to be a whole lot of PvE stuff when WQ comes out. And hopefully by that time people will have played enough PvP to have gotten used to the super awesome sandbox update. Are people voting out of anger or something?
-
I used to do a bit of both, but now I only play PVE.
-
PvP was never that great because of the P2P and bad net code . Now with cross play it's a joke . They introduced cross play because of low player base on some platforms and it's just put the last nail in the coffin for PvP.
-
I enjoy pve the most but don't mind pvp every now and then.
-
2 RepliesPvP’s biggest issue is that there is literally no good loot behind it, outside of a couple of decent Trials weapons.
-
both , pve afer some time is boring cuz iss a tutorial pve game

Edited by Zuni: 12/27/2021 3:50:18 AMGambit and dungeons. Little patience for anything else in the game right now
-
1 Replyused to somewhat enjoy PvP due to the rewards, but it's gotten so toxic that my stats look like a 4 year old went over a graph with a crayon.

Nothing right now. The pvp sandbox is a litterbox. Pve is either complete triviality, or lame mechanics. I regret buying the anniversary bit. Cabal dare crashes. Gambit crashes. I regret paying for an unfinished product, in witch queen. They got my money, now I get to hope they make something worth my money. Salty. Yes I'm salty.

Dungeons and trials (sometimes).

Edited by Kenny: 12/27/2021 12:53:30 AMBoth. Destiny without PVE would by tedious, without PVP boring. PVE is kinda like work to get gear or upgrade materials, PVP is like fun (mostly) where you can use that stuff to get better performance. However, recently my most positive experience was when I was running with an LFG group some master NFs. We were just in sync like a small Borg collective.

Day one raids and trials

PvP and Dungeons

I like all parts of the game.
