Does anyone actually like Legend/Master Lost Sectors?
Boring as hell and a lame wall to lock Exotics behind. Can't even do them with a fireteam to share the pain either.

Edited by Divine_Majin93: 12/28/2021 12:13:46 PMLost Sectors have added no real quality to the game since release except perhaps serve as a template for the Dungeon concept. They're now just a waste of dev resource and hard drive space. Use those resources on new strikes, dungeons, and PvP maps.

I’ll do a Legendary occasionally if I’m bored, however Master is a waste of time unless they improve the rewards of the drop rate.

1 ReplyMaster needs a 100% droprate. I ran one for 8 hours last week, around 4 min per run and I still dont have a well rolled version of the exotic I wanted.

I’m doing the master sectors for the triumph, but otherwise I stick strictly to Aphelions Rest or Bunker E15, and only on legend. I like the occasional lucky moment when you score the exotic; otherwise they’re tedious exercises.

Nope, I liked it better when exotics would drop in the wild or was sold by xur.

Lost Sectors have a disappointingly predictable pattern. You test different loadouts adhering to Bungie’s strict burns and champions, find one that works, then just grind away. That’s very boring. There’s no incentive to testing different weapon or ability combos and there certainly aren’t any branching paths in the environments, so it all boils down to a routine grind very quickly.

1 ReplyI have a suspicion that going flawless and finishing before your revives disappear really ups your chances of getting an exotic drop. Only did 3 legendary runs in logistics and the one where I didn't die gave me the helm. Then I did it again with my hunter. Didn't die on my second or third run, got the helm. Could just be really lucky.

Tried them once for a titan exotic. Thank god I got it on my first try. I didn't want to do it again. Crap content.

I’ll just say that I hate that it doesn’t guarantee an exotic at the end but simply is a chance drop. Like sure I imagine for the guy that farms pinnacle gear weekly has no problems but I don’t wanna wait weeks just to beat it, complete a run, and have rng screw me over.

10 RepliesYes and No! LOL The legendary sectors are challenging and I had manage to snag some good exotics - Nothing Manacles and Necrotic Grips especially. Afterwards, I got Necrotic in two random world drops. Some Lost Sectors I hate because I pass the 15 minute and play the waiting game with Hit-and-run and hide tactics. Once, I surpassed over an hour. 🤣🤣😂

Lost sectors in general are ok(I like the Moon and Europa ones more because they're bigger) although could be a little more rewarding not just glimmer and/or destination materials.Legend lost sectors I don't really like mainly because of that stupid timer,If you fail to do it in 15mins you loose all revive tokens(which also suck) so if you die then its over.I can do some but not all of them and I don't even bother with Master at all.Rewards are crap if you don't get the exotic which you can't run with a fireteam to farm for either.

Well I haven’t bothered to get any of the lost sector exotics on my Warlock or Titan since whenever the hell they added new exotic drops to lost sectors so I guess the answer is no.

I like them as long as it is possible to complete them in 5 minutes or less.

It's nice to be able to target a specific slot of exotic gear to increase your odds of getting what you want. However, I do belive that keeping new exotic armor in them forever is a mistake. In my opinion, the new exotic armor should be exclusively unlocked in the lost sectors for the first season (to prevent people from getting them right away from the first exotic engram of the season), but should be released to the general pool after one season for those that don't want to be forced into the lost sectors.

Lost Sectors have always been boring and only entered when something required me to go into them for a quest or whatever. Putting exotics in them, didn't make them any less boring.

Like legend lost sectors atm, returned player so only just started running them, and the ones i have done have dished out the exotics at a good rate. Only take 6-10 mins once worked out positioning and remember to switch champ mod 🤦♂️. Unlikely to do Master ones.

1 ReplyNope. I just do one solo master a day and if I get loot great. If not, I’ll try again the next day on whatever sector it moved to. Not burning out farming a lost sector that doesn’t guarantee a drop.
