I literally cannot queue into a lobby in Gambit or Crucible without enabling crossplay.
Matchmaking on console is so bad that I have to suffer a 6-10 minute wait to queue up or get kicked completely via error code for failing to find a match to join. Are there game settings to use to bypass this problem? Are servers THAT dead? Is it too much for me to want to only play with other console players?

PC is excluded from crossplay unless you opt-in (being in a fireteam with a pc player). Turning off crossplay limits you to playstation players who ALSO have crossplay disabled, not just any playstation player. Do yourself a favor and enable crossplay indefinitely.

Disabling Cross Play means you'll only be matched with the small pool of other players who have also disabled Cross Play on your platform and are matchmaking for the same exact activity at that exact same time.
