Option to hide weapons on your back

I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like having a big rocket launcher or machine gun dangling off your character takes up a lot of space on your character and I think it would be cool to have and option to hide your stowed weapons to bring out the look of your character more

  • So hit the weapon swap button and poof, hand cannon on the hip is barely noticeable. You're welcome

      • I never said anything about this before, but this has annoyed me since D1. That bulky rocket behind your back ruins the magic and looks like pre-golden age.

      • I support this. Additionally, I suggest allowing separate holster styles for weapons.

        • I can't agree more with this. Don't get me wrong, I like the rocket launchers and machine guns in my arsenal, but they look so big and clunky. I know that's kind of the point of heavy weapons, but having something so cartoonishly enormous on my back almost 24/7 bothers me on a spiritual level. Swords have it the worst, man. I love my Quickfang, holding it makes me feel like I'm an anime hero, but whenever it's stowed on my Guardian's back standing up way past their head like a freakin' lightning rod my ability to relate with my Guardian kinda vanishes. If I could set only my special and primary weapons to show up on my back (or on my holster in the case of hand cannons and sidearms), I would.

        • Nooooooo. I can check my load out by cycling through the weapons on my back faster than the UI loads. Maybe change it later. ✌

          • You know you can just swap weapons as normal right? 8f you spawn with a rocket launcher on your back, simply swap to a different weapon and that will appear..

            • this has absolutely 0 function in game. You spend 99% of the time not even being able to see your character, unless you're in the tower, or using a sword, in which case it wouldn't show a RL or LMG on your back anyways - so I don't see Bungie applying 100's of lines of code just to appease a minor cosmetic "fix"
