Null Taste - Extremely Low Drop Rate
Null Taste, the Dawning Ingredient for Void kills, is dropping at a MUCH lower rate than comparable ingredients (like the ones for Arc and Solar kills). My friends and fireteam members have confirmed that they can't find any, and I have yet to see a single one after killing several hundred enemies with Void from various sources.

Null taste always had a lower drop rate compared to other ingrediants. I think its something hard baked into the game and not a bug.

I’m done with all of dawning, however, I was void base for all of it and it definitely was the rarest ingredient to drop.

All I get is null taste come up, have you tried using bull composure with reservoir burst?

I am having the same issue with personal touch and null taste. Running with various void weapons in energy and heavy. Void subclass abilities not working either. This is day 2 of no drops of these.

I’m having the same issue. Ran multiple strikes, public events and used multiple different void weapons without any drops. Even tried restarting the game completely :/

I saw it pop up on my screen that I received the ingredient. I go to the oven and says I don't have any..

3 RepliesI’ve only gotten 1 (after running 2 strikes with my Nezarec Loadout). Can’t get any Personal Touch, finishing touch, or bullet spray ones either.

Same problem. Haven't had any drop at all.

Edited by Hawk: 12/15/2021 8:30:03 AMYeah this is starting to smell like some kind of counter solo mechanic because my experience has been, if I'm in public or with players I get materials, if I'm doing a lost sector solo or anything solo, nothing. That said, void fusion rifle and void MG with void subclass on my titan... I have gotten zero Null Taste in since I got to that part of the quest. There is nothing more that I can do Bungie, clearly something is wrong and it is simply not dropping.

I know it's a big 'IF', but if you have something like Hard Light, you can make it much faster. Iw as running my Void spec on my Hunter and having the same problem. Went to the vault and dusted off Hard Light - got two of them in one run of The Waterworks on Normal.

Same - I had better luck when I was in the Altars of Sorrow event on the moon. Once I went solo my chances of the Null taste went back to zero. I had the best luck with the the Royal Chase scout rifle getting 3 rather quickly but zero solo. I tried several different void weapons in the event and they were all zero. So something is up and they need to look at it.

Drop rates in general for me are almost 0 for every ingredient fml

Dropped 4 in around 5 mins on dreaming city against taken and scorn. Got what I needed for now.

I was the same, I got 1 in aphellions rest using void weapons and subclass. I gave up and did strikes using le monarque and got two pretty quick.

I haven’t gotten one Null Taste since reset even when I have all void guns and abilities. The drop rate needs to be raised cause nobody in their right mind is gonna grind hours on end with them not dropping.

I'm having the same problem. I've had only 1 drop since reset. Drop rates are abysmally low.
