Why are you removing so much stuff we have already paid for. How many raids are you going to remove just to sell it back to us months later. The amount the of things yall have made us pay for just to sunset it or just remove it from the game is crazy. If your going to take stuff away at least let use keep the Raids and make the stuff not sunsetted

It’s needed. Sadly

6 RepliesThey should’ve just made a Destiny 3. This game severely needs a fresh start.
-
You’re renting the game as soon as you purchase it.
-
3 RepliesIt’s will continue until the last gen plebs are dropped

They don't know how to do it. They were with blizzard for a good while, yet learned nothing about how to fix this diet mmog

1 ReplyEdited by Devious Mike: 12/14/2021 2:47:59 AMThe fact that you were down voted to 0 is actually humorous. I guess all the people that gave valid criticism of this game have all gone. If you posted this same thing about a year or 2 ago, things would have been much different. I guess the only people left playing this mess are the addicts who haven't put this game down since launch, the "free to players" who probably only started 6 months ago or less and don't think paying for overpriced cosmetics and content that has an expiration date is a problem, (even though you'd struggle to name any other game that does that), the streamers, and of course the fan boys and apologists who get really defensive when you openly criticize a game they like. As soon as I saw witch queen/anniversary pack bundle being sold for $100, yeah DLC for one hundred dollars, and Forsaken being deleted, I knew I was done. Bungie is one of the scummiest developers out there now. Destiny 2 is just a scam at this point. Have fun renting this game for now, until the content you bought gets deleted forever lol

What raid are they making you pay for again? Vault of Glass is free and thats the only raid that has made a return. They haven't even TALKED about what raid would be coming back or any raids leaving for Witch Queen. You're making up problems that haven't happened. Now if they said we're bringing back Scourge of the Past or Leviathan, but you have to buy a season or the expansion, then your complaining is valid. But that hasn't happend.

21 RepliesStop being an uninformed entitled millennial. There I fixed it for you. I've been gaming for the better part of 25 years. I've navigate through all the changes that game developers have needed to go through to stay alive. This is just the latest iteration. It's a live service game that's going to have to make changes to survive. I'm sorry it's not going the way you envisioned.

1 ReplyI just logged into Elder Scrolls Online. Every single thing my character had 5 Years ago last time I played was still there and every quest was available. I think they are trying to just recycle content so they can re sell it and take advantage of their loyal customers. Sad really.

Edited by One Shot Ted: 12/14/2021 7:08:47 AMThat's literally what you're doing when you buy an online game, though. You're not paying for the game, you're paying for the license to play the game. The End-User Licence Agreement (EULA) for online games typically has a clause specifying that the content you paid for can be changed or removed at any time, and that's the case for Destiny 2 as well. For simplicity's sake, I've copied the relevant section of the Destiny 2 Terms of Use for you to read below if you need further clarification. I've also highlighted the most important operating clause in bold so that you can skip to it if you don't want to read much. From the Destiny 2 Terms of Use (which all users have agreed to prior to loading into the game):
SERVICE PROVIDED CONTENT "Service Provided Content" consists of those materials provided to you (e.g., unlockable content, accounts, stats, virtual assets, virtual currencies, codes, and achievements) in connection with use of the Bungie Services. While the Bungie Services may allow you to “earn”, "buy", or "purchase" Service Provided Content within or in connection with gameplay, you do not in fact own or have any property interest in the Service Provided Content. Unless otherwise specified in writing, any Service Provided Content that you receive is licensed to you as set forth herein, and you shall have no ownership right thereto. Unless specifically permitted by Bungie, you may not, sell, lend, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any Service Provided Content. Service Provided Content may not be transferred or resold by you for commercial gain in any manner, including, without limitation, by means of any direct sale or auction service. Service Provided Content may be altered, removed, deleted, or discontinued by Bungie at any time (e.g., upon termination of this Agreement and/or cessation of online support for the Bungie Services), even if you have not “used” or “consumed” the Service Provided Content prior to alteration, removal, deletion, or discontinuation.
Whether you like it or not, --we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars-- you agreed to these terms when prompted to in order to start playing the game. It sucks, but that's how online games and/or games as a service work. If you really can't stand it, I'd suggest spending your money on offline single player games instead.

Edited by vmondude: 12/14/2021 12:01:29 PMUpdates on games of this structure rebuild the entire game adding in the new changes as it goes. It avoids errors and corrupted data. Do you want to wait for 300+gb download and copy's every update? Not to mention games consoles are small computers they can only handle so much, until it's pc only, removing content is the only way it can remain functional. Besides it's an online only game, you own nothing. It's a game as a service 😉 read the fine print.

You seriously still can't be hunting down the barons from the forsaken campaign.. they are removing the tangled shore.. last wish garden of salvation deep stone crypt & vault of glass aren't going anywhere when witch queen drops lol

Edited by WulfPak666: 12/13/2021 1:12:53 PMYou're mad now, just wait in a couple of years when you want to reminisce on the "good ole days" in Destiny only to dust off your console and find that the servers are no longer supported meaning you've lost literally everything you paid for with no way to ever use it ever again. You've been "renting" this game since you first booted it up back in 2014 (or whenever you personally started) Tis the nature of server based games.
-
Stop renting the content.
-
The game is a live service. Whether that is good or bad, we have known for years now that content comes and goes.
-
3 RepliesSo fun fact Every online agreement you sign is basically saying that you don't own anything and you are renting their data..... The more you know 🌠
-
We have been Renting from day one. If you can’t play the game without internet connection, YOU DONT OWN IT
-
If they need to sunset things that aren’t played nearly enough and have been out for years? So be it, especially since it seems to be for technical reasons. Raids should definitely never be vaulted though, it’s my one issue with the system so far.
-
3 RepliesBut how will they sell it back to you later? Bungie has become the true King Grifters with a whole cult of mindless followers. This nonsense stops when the addicts stop feeding this terrible addiction. That won't happen so you're stuck with it.
-
6 RepliesLicense agreement, subject to change What's interesting is that they can change that agreement anytime they want to fit their needs and wants, not yours or anyone else's. Yes, it sucks but, it is what it is.
-
1 ReplyStop buying it then and play a way better game.
-
1 ReplyNon issue. I get your point, but do not believe it to be a problem.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Major-Payne: 12/13/2021 7:27:59 PMWTF ever. That -blam!- has sat there for years if you haven’t repeatedly played the -blam!- out of that old -blam!- content it’s on you. You also don’t have to do anything. You either chose too or chose not too Never mind, I see you -blam!- never play anyways.
-
2 RepliesI don’t have a problem with their approach as long as they keep adding new content that keeps me coming back. PvP on the other hand is a mess and I don’t understand how Bungie let it get to the state it is now. PvE is carrying this game and if they could somehow fix the issues in PvP this game could be incredible.

This seems mostly like an issue people have when they don’t keep up with Destiny or they arrive late to the party.

Edited by Speedy: 12/13/2021 7:00:10 PMtotally agree with you, it -blam!- me off that i pay for a game and buy the expansions to have the slightly older expansions removed from the game i play. i dont know any other game i actually play that does that. totally pisses me off. Im literally paying for less game. there is still so many things i want from the older content (seals, triumphs etc) and all these peanuts saying "they havent sold us old content again" yes they have, by reintroducing old weapons that were sunset or vaulted and putting them in the loot pool as new weapons instead of creating brand new weapons with the new expansions we pay for. fkn bungie mate, unbelievable....
