2 RepliesImma be real with you, I dont think this one is an issue. If you're not spending them as obtain them, then they aren't really doing you any good anyway. The upgrade mats I understand wanting the cap raised. This one, kinda on the player and very much a non-issue. Just spend them. Theres no reason to hoard them at all

Meanwhile, nothing kills my urge to continue playing more than being told do go waste time managing a crap economy so I can keep participating in said crap economy, or get no rewards. They make the prices high, and the limits low. Inevitably I just stop caring about it and stop interacting with it.

With the rate at which you get them, combined with the cost of the items that take them, I don't see this as an issue. I haven't been playing non-stop, but its been pretty tough to stock up on them. I've been farming the Dares for treasure keys, and most of the time only come away with one strange coin from the activity. Its gonna cost 9 of them to do the three dailies, and you can spend the rest on treasure keys to farm the weapons/armor if you've done the bounties. I don't see any real purpose in hoarding them

After 30 they go to the postmaster. So its not like you're losing them.

Hypothetical situation: You’ve done what you wanted in eternity for the time being, you decide to take your new loot for a crucible spin, let’s say two hours in you realize your not getting strange coins, you see your full at only thirty and now you have to stop what your doing go t eternity spend them all only to have to come back in a few hours of trying to do a different activity. But as you know bungie wants nothing to do with respecting there players time
