Hi, I along with many people who play this game use Dim for easy weapon transfers. However sometimes the app doesn't work and steals my weapons, I 100% had wardcliff coil in my heavy inventory but after transferring some weapons from my postmaster to my hunter my wardcliff coil just disappeared. Now you may say it isn't that many materials but this isn't the first time this has happened and over time it adds up, plus I shouldn't be spending materials on a game bug that isn't my fault. So can you do anything about this, or renburse me wardcliff back at least? it is not that i can't afford it from collections it's just the fact that I shouldn't even be considering that as an option in the first place.

Edited by ADragonWithin: 11/29/2021 2:16:14 AMThe apps that transfer items, such as the Companion App and Destiny Item Manager, cannot delete, dismantle, or remove items entirely from existence. The only way for items to go poof are from manually doing so yourself within the game or through an update by Bungie that removes the item from the game. Transferring an item from one Character to another moves the item through the Vault. If the Vault is full, or the intended Character is full, then the item is left in its previous location as part of the move. If moving from CharA to CharB, it moves from CharA, to the vault, to CharB. If CharB is full and cannot receive the item, the item remains in the Vault. If the Vault is full and cannot receive the item, the item remains on CharA. The apps, however, aren't always prepared for this situation and don't always update their inventory list to show where the item has gone. You'll need to refresh the app so that it re-gets the inventory, or check in the actual game. Your item does exist, either in its original location, the vault, or its intended location. There are no other options, as, again, the apps cannot make items go poof.

3 RepliesHave you checked your vault or other characters for these "missing" items? The API that DIM and all other apps (including the official Companion app) uses doesn't allow the deletion of any items. You can view all actions that an external app has done via the App History found under your profile settings https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/ApplicationHistory/
