I am a school teacher and I do not have a lot of money to spend. I try to buy things that will last so I invest in games that can entertain for long time with manageable costs. My entire family plays Destiny. Before season passes existed, we could play on 4 systems but only had to pay for 2 DLC's using game share. When season passes became separate, we purchased 2 DLC and then separately 2 additional season passes so we can play all the content. Costs went up but not too much, but then comes The Witch Queen. Example Previous Cost: Beyond Light DD Bundle: Beyond Light DD DLC ($70) x 2 = $140 Additional seasons ($40) x 2 = $80 Total cost $220. This seemed reasonable for a years worth of content for 4 people. ($55 per person) Now Witch Queen: Witch Queen Digital Deluxe Bundle + 30th Ani ($100) x 4 = $400 Total cost $400 (Saves $20 buying in the bundle.) The increase in price is nearly double. ($100 per person) Another option is I could purchase 2 DD Bundles then 2 additional season passes and 2 additional 30th Anniversary packs at regular cost. But we will miss out on the 2 extra dungeons. WQ DD +30th Ani ($100) x 2 = $200 30th Ani ($25) x 2 = $50 4 seasons ($40 assuming) x 2 = $80 2 Dungeons x 2 = ? Subtotal cost $330 Let's say the 2 dungeons were $10 each. Total cost $370. ($92.50 per person) $92.50 vs $100 This is cheaper but it's a gamble and knowing my RNG I'd rather play it safe and buy 4 bundles. FYI my 4 year old loves playing with us in missions, public events and strikes. Soon we will need 6 systems (my fireteam is complete) to play in the house and my costs are going to skyrocket. I want to keep playing Destiny, but it's going to cost so much. I am not asking for any handouts or favors. Just saying my 2 cents. Thank you for reading my rant.
