Please stop making PvP a requirement.

So don’t play it. I haven’t touched Gambit for a few seasons now. So I missed out on Some Bright Dust. So what.
-
I simply dont care about seasonal challenges anymore. Tired of the game telling me how to play. Gambit sucks -blam!-, im not going to step foot in it. Especially for 2 resets. Id rather hammer two nails into my eyeballs.
-
I would rather play pvp than gambit
-
1 ReplyIt’s pretty simple, either you play it or not. I choose not to play pvp and could care less about the xp/bright dust/rewards from pvp(to include gambit). I am ok with not getting junk from there that I would not use anyways.
-
Literaly the only reason i did any stuff in Trials and pvp was because of seasonal challenges, but after trials, I just have no engery to attempt completing anything else. Im done.

2 RepliesPlease stop making PvE a requirement. It's too boring.

19 RepliesThe KD detectives will be along shortly to berate you for losing in a game mode you don't enjoy, and only play because Bungie realise pvp would be a ghost town without shoehorning pve players into it. Catalysts, seasonal rewards and now trials engrams, all designed to 'encourage' pve players to suffer the worst pvp experience online. All while being told they are bots, no thumbs, smooth brains and assorted other insults by dudes that live for it. Fun times for everyone...

Destiny isn't likely to change. To continue enjoying it, you have to find ways to deal with the parts you don't enjoy. What I do is just avoid things I don't want to do. If you want a certain piece of gear or something, then maybe create a character to do that with. For quests that only require completing matches or collecting rewards, you can just go in and do emotes or something fun like that. After you've gotten what you want, you can delete the character or keep it to use again later.
-
Does it really make you rage that badly when you play it? It’s fun most of the time. It’s not like Trials or Comp. That I would understand.
-
45 RepliesNever understood the argument 'Well I wouldn't play strikes, gambit, story mode stuff, etc., if I didn't have to!' Like.......... why are you playing a mainly story driven game?????? And getting mad about having to play story related content???? I like PvP sometimes, certain modes, but jeez they act like the story part of the game is the 'not so important' side of it like.... bro.... PvP is the side content. The story is the most important thing.
-
You can just… not play crucible? That’s fine too? For the players that enjoy all aspects of the game, it helps to have rewards and incentives to play all the modes.
-
Then don’t. If you want bright dust that badly, don’t complain, you made the choice.
-
7 out of 9 Triumphs for Crucible seal

Haven't touched PvP since June. I will never ever EVER play it again. Don't care what gear/weapon/catalyst is going, flat out no from me. I'm sure it's great/awful/whatever/giantwhocares and you're all welcome to it 👍 I can barely get thru a standard Lost Sector without random deaths, teleportation Dregs or ghost bullets, never mind a 12 player P2P fps nightmare.. Also.. I hear Trials matchmaking is a laugh riot this weather.. have fun with that 😉
-
The simplest solution is just to make it completable either via PVE or PVP. Like either complete crucible matches or finish strikes for example or kill enemies/kill guardians in PVP. Let people finish it the way they want to instead of shoehorning people into one mode or the other.
-
6 RepliesI just don't play PvP, period. No challenge, quest, catalyst, or whatever is worth suffering that bullshit. None of it is worth the misery. If it's not enjoyable, I just don't do it. This is supposed to be a game, if it's not fun then it's not worth doing.

15 RepliesEdited by NerdslayerNo1: 11/5/2021 9:21:24 PMfunny. I literally feel exactly the same of about every single pve thing. If i didn't need to do it to get a gun for pvp i'd never do it. I was running Prophecy only to get a pulse. I considered running vault for a fatebringer and vex but i can't stomach the grind of doing what i hate just to do what i want. Which is part of the problem (just from my opinion with the game now). The state of pvp is so bad now that i don't want to play it and thus i don't have a ton of interest in playing. I quit in Feb. Came back again around Sept. But i find myself not particularly enjoying playing. So probably time for a break again.

If I wasn’t forced to play this game. I would play this game.
-
I agree with your frustration but not your proposed solution
-
It's not a requirement, there's lots of things I don't do for the seasonal challenges.
-
6 Replies...okay? If I didn't have to play vanguard strikes, I wouldn't. If I didn't have to play Gambit, I wouldn't. If I didn't have to do Lost Sectors, I wouldn't. The seasonal challenges ask you to take part in every aspect of the season, doesn't matter what aspects of it you like or dislike.
-
Pvp will always be a portion of the game, don’t think it’s going anywhere.
-
4 RepliesSince when were seasonal challenges required?
-
4 RepliesPlease stop making all optional seasonal challenges a requirement.

2 RepliesThe message your sending bungie and the message you at to send them are total opposites. Your basically admitting that even though you don’t like pvp all they have to do is throw in a little bright dust and you will force yourself through it. So why would they change anything? You give them no reason to because you don’t have it in you not to. Show some spine. If you hate pvp don’t play it.
