You guys really need to learn how to use your primaries. It's getting sad
I'm literally having people run at me out in the open from 50m+ no dodging or jumping just a b line sprint.
One guy I actually stopped shooting at him and he didn't think to switch to his primary at 30m (assuming he wasn't running double shotgun)
I swear it's like playing against actual bots.
If this is how a lot of people play, I get why we need skill based matchmaking.

One thing everyone needs to understand is that PvP players are opportunistic. Nothing on this plane of existence will ever make more players use primaries over special weapons. The maps cater to shotguns and fusion rifles with the occasional sniper rifle. Medium ranges are where most primary fights happen and then it’s mostly handcannons and pulse rifles. This is how it is. The last time Bungie actively tried to encourage primary gun fights was Year 1. Everyone was slow, ability regeneration was abysmal (and then depending on which ability they weren’t all that great), it was 4v4 and they couldn’t get weapon balance even remotely right. Things may look bleak in PvP but if you really pay attention you’ll see that there is more variety than any other previous season. It isn’t perfect but it’s better.

3 Replies“BuT MaH SkILl” these bots crutch on their shotguns like their life depends on it. I cant even remember the last time I died to a primary in a duel. Players only ever use primaries because they ran out of special ammo. It really is sad and its worse when I see players defend special ammo.

Which is odd because, with the infinite ammo, primaries are actually pretty decent. People just want the instant result specials over something that can last longer and get more kills.

Exact why I use a SMG. Melt them before they get close enough to ape you.

Yeah people are just running around with fusions and shotguns. This is Bungie’s idea of PVP.
