So, i had already preordered the everything bundle. I have the money for it. i just refuse to continue to support a company that embarks upon a mission to price gouge their clients.
Bungie already got a lump sum payment from microsoft to get the game and expansions on gamepass, and F2P players still have to buy the season passes to get the content locked behind that particular paywall, but essentially, they've screwed F2P players even further by adding an additional layer of paywall.
the WORST sin is that bungie released the 30th anniversary pack around a month before announcing (really, they were caught by eagle-eyed consumers and came clean after they were called out) that this is the way of things. they were testing the waters with the 30th pack. so now we can expect to pay $30 bucks a dungeon from here on. I'm not saying "boycott Destiny" but i am saying you should think twice about supporting the 30th anniversary pack if you don't want to support this business practice.

1 ReplySo the new expansion will be on gamepass? Sweet it it is.

2 RepliesUpdate: i am now fighting with my wife about this. SHE wants to keep playing destiny and wants me to get the DLC. the ball's in her court now. she has to decide for both of us if we're supporting this.

I completely understand why you’re doing this. It gets a little higher every season. More stuff stuck behind pay walls. For me i’ll always get it. I know what i’m getting myself into and saves me the disappointment of investing in new stuff. After cyberpunk, never again. With Destiny itself, I find I have just enough time to get all of it done around work and life. Additionally, if my regulars aren’t on, pc lfg pretty much compensates for it. There’s only one other franchise I fully buy into, and thats anything fromsoftware/bandai namco. Having xbox gamepass ultimate also helps.

Don’t you worry, I canceled my faith in Humanity a long time ago…

2 RepliesAnother F2P player mad about having to spend money to access more of the game. What do you mean by the "worst sin" bs. What that Bungie has both an option to purchase as part of a bundle, or you can purchase it separately if you want? The way that most things are sold? No one knows yet how much individual dungeons are going to cost but assuming they're going to be $30 doesn't make sense. If the Witch Queen is $40, and each season is $10 = $40 for all 4... the deluxe is $100, 40+40 = 80... That alone would suggest the dungeons are going to be cheaper than people are for some reason thinking they will be. The $100 deluxe comes with WQ, 4 seasons, 2 dungeons and the 30th anniversary. Separately that all costs more the the bundle without even including the price of the dungeons, which again we have no idea what will be. I'm not going to tell you you should preorder, your money do with it what you want. But what you're saying is either not true, complete assumptions or complaining people aren't getting access to more while also being free to play players.

6 RepliesI’ve been playing hardcore since D1 beta, probably close to 10000 hours played. The gouging had gotten worse and worse, no activision to blame here. This has taken the cake for me and if they go through with it I will look for another game.

Wait till u have to pay for exotic opportunities Their getting everyone used to the idea that exotics aren't going to be available to everyone by putting every new exotic behind a legendary lost sector Inch by inch they'll monetize it getting everyone conditioned initially

Welcome to F2P Destiny. Sometimes F2P isn’t always a good thing

4 RepliesThe g horn coming back that’s all that matters

I won't be paying anymore money that's for sure. And people said they'll be glad when Activision leaves. Bungie are just has bad!
-
1 ReplyI see no problem with it , they are offering a product in exchange for money Not canceling my pre-order
-
2 RepliesOkay? Nobody asked and nobody cares.
-
2 RepliesTotally disagree. On one hand you want content on the other hand you don’t want to pay for it. I would pay a premium if I could get regular new content like campaign chapters because it is so boring to play every week the same strike. I am saying increase the prices for quality NEW content. If you want to retain the best developers and creative artists you also need to incentivize them otherwise those guys leave. You guys need to understand that the reasons we are in this -blam!- is because nobody wants to pay the price for such an amazing game.

I didn't ask

10 Replies80$ for content that'll keep me occupied for an entire year, that sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. As long as I have stuff to do, I ain't complaining. The devs spend time and effort working on content, so I'd say it's reasonable for them to ask for money to compensate. I can't think of another game that will give you things to do for a year for just 80$.

Who asked 😐

2 RepliesEdited by CountSheepAtWoW: 10/22/2021 4:43:10 PMSupporting them by buying didn't help the game get better. Nothing has improved in a couple of years. Now this? It will not get better. It's gotten worse. It's like the next step to pay-to-win. What's next, OP loot only accessible via extra paid content? I won't be surprised if they'll do this next to those extra paid content. They are testing the waters if community will bite this. Then they'll probably drop the bomb next. Don't forget stasis, a carrot they dangled on paid content. If supporting them didn't make the game better then, why keep doing it? Maybe leaving will help. It's time to go. Pack up and close up shop. Its time to take our business elsewhere. This is the time to make serious change. It didn't help or change the game before supporting them, it will not change now. Time to go. See you on the other side.

I didn't know people still played this game. Last time I logged on it was empty. Maybe bungie is charging more to the most loyal players to make up for those who quit.
-
17 RepliesMan this community is so pathetic. Bungie nerfed Whisper of the Worm into the ground, and now that they might buff it, people get excited. “Omg bungies gonna allow us to use it again!” What a hilarious joke of a community. They have you lot wrapped around their finger so well. Take things away and give them back and you get excited. Lol. My god.

12 RepliesYeah.. same here.. performance keeps getting worse with every patch.. before this last patch I was getting solid 100+ fps (was 140+ at launch, but ok). After this last patch it's dropping to 60 constantly during PVP (which is way less demanding than pve) I have 2300 hours played on steam alone, but the game performance is utter trash nowadays.... add to that the greedy business model and I'm finally done.. Tbh I'm kinda thankful, it's not easy dropping an addiction, but Bungie sure helped a lot. Cancelling the Deluxe Super Mega Dungeon Plus edition preorder right now.

As a solo player I do not give a -blam!- about this 30th scamm. Sure Gially is cool, but useless cosmetics and dungeon without MM is deal breaker for me. Maybe 5$ for this, but 30$ ? They completely lost their commies minds.

12 RepliesEdited by xbroggiex: 10/22/2021 7:00:53 PMI generally dunno how people can't grasp the concept that when a company offers more content they expect you to pay more for it. This is a basic principle for christ sake.
-
such noble, much brave, wow.
-
Thanks for letting me know, I've hardly slept with anticipation of your decision.
-
3 RepliesThe simple fact that they don't even know their own prices beyond the deluxe edition REEKS of desperation. How much are dungeons gonna be? Just give us your money now and don't worry about it. How much actual new stuff is there gonna be? Just give us your money now and don't worry about it. Why wont you tell us your own pricing model? Just give us your money now and don't worry about it

2 RepliesYeah, don't buy the new DLC to support FTP players!
