Trials is horrible

You took a good model and totally hosed it up. Give the person who had the idea and the one who approved it a pink slip. I was talking it up to the clan and now I hang my head in shame for saying how great it was. What a bonehead move that was. Edit: Ok I spoke too soon, my bad. So the model works well for and against. You can capture the flag and win against a better team and vice versa, using a well or shield in the last round works wonders. I personally prefer to take out the opponents, but occasionally while they were being occupied , I won the game by taking the flag. Also, once match makin went into effect it was more competitive and won several matches, by changing tactics and strategy. Still prefer not to have the flag.

  • Okay I am begging you please fix the Broken Stars 2 quest ; where I got the skews while using another character now the progression will not go forward and the skews will Not reappear. Waited for multiple resets and hot fixes still not fixed. I did pay for this season like all the other ones I payed for bought tour $100 witch queen in advance. Just free money . I do Not understand why this has at least been addressed like saying when it will be fixed or some sort of acknowledgment. It’s one thing to have a bug another to ignore the people who can not enjoy the paid content . I truly enjoy your game most days but this is the kind of thing that sends people the other direction when they see tour next product. Please a fix or feedback from the company not just from random people who can not fix the problem. It’s a small number but we are still customers. Sorry about being angry but Cmon man!!

  • I actually kinda enjoyed it tbh. Not really the fact that the zone goes into the enemy spawn, but just the zone existing in general. It forces fights, and doesn’t make rounds nearly as passive. You can’t just win rounds by farming super anymore. You have to push, or risk losing to the zone. It’s way more fun than holding lanes with snipers, and 10 INT setups

    • The more i play trials this weekend the more i like it. The zone essentially nullifies camping and shifts dynamic across the map opposing the usual sniper camp-play we would normally see on wormhaven.

            The week 1 model isn't sustainable because it relies on a pyramid scheme of solos getting farmed. Those solos are now leaving because the mode is unrewarding for them. IB is significantly more rewarding with 12 pinnacles a week and 600 tokens. Plus more loot drops from every match completion. Compare that to Trial's 6 pinnacles and a stingy trials leveling system... no thank you. Not to mention, the most of the drops from Trials are sharded... it's just not fun and it's unrewarding.

              I'm a returning player who started Destiny a month or two after launch and then took a break from ~2017 until recently. I'm not great at PvP, never have been. My thoughts in that context. First, thanks to Bungie for enabling matchmaking at all. I will never reach the lighthouse unless I get a big-time carry. I used to grind for 3 wins and sometimes 5 wins. I got them but it was a struggle. Once I had them, I was done with Trials. With matchmaking, there is incentive and ability to grind ToS until you get 7 wins. It is taking a long time, I'm stuck at 4 wins, but I think I'll get there eventually. Second, I don't mind the game mode. It hasn't been a deciding factor in any matches and only in a few rounds that I can recall. As a weak PvP player, I have tried camping the zone while my teammates fight the other team, and that rarely ends well. I've also rarely seen the other team capture the zone before basically winning on eliminations anyway. It does affect gameplay, but I don't think it determines the outcome very often. Third, I really hate the details of matchmaking. Or maybe it's simply the pool of players. I'm not good. I understand that. I try. What I don't understand is why most of the time, I'm teamed with other players who are not good, vs a team that is good. Again, maybe that's just because my presence on my team guarantees we're not a three-stack, and the other side can be a three-stack. But I notice the problem even when the three opponents are in no/different clans. What's odd is that I was on winning teams my first two matches, and hit a stone wall at that point. So there is a pool of other sucky players out there, I'm just not in that pool now for some reason. It's as if matchmaking is based on number of wins on the card rather than W/L ratio, KD ratio or anything else more meaningful. Congrats to those I've helped reach the lighthouse ... apologies to my few decent teammates ... cheers to my teammates who are fellow poor PvPers.

              • Why are you pissed? I don't understand. They've made it clear they're trying different things on different weeks and will see what works based on data and feedback. It's not like this week's changes are staying, all you've got to do is state you don't really like this week and wait for something different next week.

              • The new game mode I am Not keen on. It is great for hunters who have lots of skill (shatterdive) 😂 But saying that I managed a double carry and a flawless last night while solo queue, well they invited me after winning my 4th game and we teamed up. They had never been to the lighthouse before. So it felt satisfying. Just keep at it people and after Sunday reset you won’t have to see the sweats.

                  • It is kinda horrible but it’s only for one week. The point of labs it to test the water with new ideas. Some people seem to be forgetting that.

                    • I've never really found trials fun myself tho they did say it's something new a test tryout see how it goes I did 3 games n quit won 1 lost 2 kinda visualised that's how it's gonna be personally i think pvp is taken to serious

                    • the new mode is not that bad, it prevents people from camping... they should switch on that flawless pool again, because casuals like me are stomped again 90% of the matches... that's what annoys me...

                      • I'm getting real tired of getting my -blam!- kicked 5-0 and then seeing all my opponents just went to the lighthouse. I've got 4 wins and like 16 losses on my card, why are flawless players with 10.0 kds matching against me?????? Who's -blam!- idea was this????

                            • I honestly like normal trials better. I didnt hate it, it just dont feels like this mode belongs into trials. The only thing i was constantly thinking was, if you want to make [i]THIS[/i] mode more engaging, scrap the special ammo entirely. Prime ammo only. (i always run double prime anyway, just to not give em the spesh) But these are just my thoughts about this mode.

                            • It’s even worse being forced to play in match that I’m not going to win. Not a freaking chance and I’m stuck in a match to wait until my 5-0 -blam!- beating is over. Why does everyone care if people leave? Let me out of this misery so I can go to another match to help 2 other people against a team I have a chance against. Forcing players to stay just dilutes the talent in other matches that you might even benefit from. So dumb to force people. They’re already taking the loss on a card. It’s not like it’s a free pass

                            • I wish I could talk with a developer or a data specialist for Trials and just understand that the ******* **** they are thinking with this -blam!-? It's so unbelievably unbalanced, the matchmaking is so ****** that it's unbelievable this is a AAA game. It now only caters to sweaty streamers who's LL is 900000 and literally get paid to play this. Look at the data points, if a team has gone 0-3, matchmake them with other players who have gone similar with a tolerance of +/-1 win? Trials caters to the best getting better, not the casual players who have a -blam!- life and play for fun and not SUB PRIME LIKE COMMENT SUBSCRIBE

                              • I don't think it will be here next time I have not seen one piece of positive feedback yet and I hope they take that to heart because they always screw stuff up and this was a big one. I was doing decent last week and now this week I've lost like the last 10 games, yes I'm trash at PVP but this is beyond ridiculous the matchmaking is just as bad as it was originally
