What is the POINT of the collections system?
Literally 99% of cool weapons gear etc I can't require because of some silly random roll nonsense, so what is the point? so we can get angry when we see a weapon we once had but no longer have it because it was deleted years ago to make space etc and not have a page showing us we collected it but can never reacquire it... it seems like a pretty pathetic system...

It costs less to pull things like felwinters, not forgotten, Luna's how, MT, revoker and any other ritual from collections vs getting it from the kiosk

I'm excited for the weapon crafting coming into destiny. I feel like it's been something I've wanted since destiny 1. I understand rerolling broke the game. It literally took the grind out of the game. People could sit in the tower and reroll their felwinters until they had a God roll. If I recall correctly the cost to reroll was pretty cheap as well. I've made suggestions a few times to introduce a grindy but guaranteed alternative to RNG. My suggestion in d1 was to have banshee be able to replicate weapons but if your reputation was low it wouldn't have the best rolls if any rolls at all. By rank 6 the test weapons were useless unless you were a person that liked to challenge the meta. What if they allowed weapon perks to drop like every 10 levels with the crappy perks first? That would have been a grind since I believe you only had 4 test weapons a week. I know there might be a catch to weapon crafting and I'm ok with it. But having an alternative to bad luck is good I think.

16 RepliesExotics and the fixed rolled gear before it was sunset. Letting us pull random rolled gear from it would break the game.

The collections tab should be the vault. When you inspect a weapon that you have acquired, it shows you any duplicates you currently have and would allow you to pull any of them out. Much like how the DIM vault works which is an out of game app 🤔 Just do the same in game please!!

1 ReplyHOPEFULLY, once weapon crafting is out, you can pull any weapon from collections and select the perks you’ve unlocked.

When you find out, let me know lol. An answer to the lack of vault space is right there, yet they don't use it. Instead, it's just a picture book.

They should let us save your favorite roll by holding the lock button. Doing this makes that roll the base roll that you can pull from collections. This should also apply to exotic armor stats and random rolled exotics

I think that maybe they should add a little checkmark to each weapon that lists if you got the curated roll or not. If you do, maybe that would be the one you can grab again?

I for one would love to have the first weapons from D1 and D2 for example Sol edge with a burning edge, or Touch of malice the scout rifle! And why in h3ll do i need to rebuy Gjallarhorn when i already had it in the other expansions? Just like Ace of spades from Cayde 6, you pick it up on the floor when you find his ghost and body, then you have to BUY it in the monument to the lost light! I mean, COME on, if you held it already it should be in the inventory!

Agree. Collections ought to let you reacquire gear you deleted. It should be utilized as VAULT space. That way the current vault works as intended .

It's a collection page You can retrieve exotics ,sparrow ,ghost ,ship,transmat,seasonal weapon(the quest 1) Even if you couldn't retrieve anything it's still a collection page....
