---UPDATE IN COMMENTS--- Turning off MSI Afterburner worked for me. Not ideal, but this is what I got. ------------------------------- Another victim here. I've tried restarting the machine, verifying game files, removing underclocks, capping framerate, updating to latest drivers, to no avail. This is clearly because of the most recent update as I played just the night before and there were no issues. Now I can't play for 5 minutes without the game freezing, then exiting to Windows with no error message. I do noticed that GPU usage seems unusually high. Holding a high 99% even on my RTX 3080. Not normal at all. So there may be some background process that's just running unchecked driving the gpu usage beyond normal.
