Destiny two crashing on PC post update.
As the title says. I've had two crashes since the update today. Just letting you know.

I am having this issue as well. I can't play the opening quest. Game constantly crashes when I get to the first room with the Ogres. No error message, just a hard freeze, music cuts out, game crashes to my desktop. Intel Core i9-10850K 3.6 GHz 32gb DDR4-4000mhz Nvidia 3090 FE

1 Replyi got a crash a few minutes after starting an Astral Alignment mission. No error code, and it didnt seem to be tied to any specific action. Id guess its related to either BattlEye or Crossplay. Either introduced id imagine can make certain things a little unstable. But then again, im no expert.

Same issue here. Doing a fresh driver install but I believe it is on the game end. Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. Have never had crashes with Destiny 2 until today. Figured something must have happened during the update.

Getting CTD's in first mission. No error code. RTX 2080..BLAH BLAH ETC.... . *sigh* I guess play testing wasn't an option then eh Bungie?

Still getting Crashes in the first mission once you boot up after i kill a wizard it just crashes the game. I’m not too sure what to do at this point crashed about 5 times now.

Getting crashes too. I was fine until the first time into Astra Alignment event. Had multiple crashes. Just completely freezes the screen. No error messages. I've rebooted and checked file integrity.

Same here, first crash happened about a half hour into first launch post-update, then another crash about two hours later during Astral Alignment, now consistently crashing when I try to launch the Shattered Realm activity- I don't get more than 15 seconds in before it happens. Already attempted to verify file integrity, and clean install. Game simply freezes and won't respond, then closes after a minute if I don't kill the task first, no error code. Win 10 Ryzen 5600x 32 GB DDR4 GTX 1070ti

The first time, I went to the bathroom, came back and I was on desktop. My brother had the same issue happen during the seasonal artifact mission 2 mins in.

Same here. Just logged in and after few dialog boxes about news i landed in Dreaming City, retrieved exotic from season pass and kaboom - desktop. Restart, couple of dialog boxes about news, went to Eververse and kaboom - desktop. Actually i am waiting for fix before approaching Destiny again.

Same crashing during the Shattered Realm activity. No error code game just freezes after a bit and then the game closes.

I saw somewhere that restarting their PC helped the crashes. So far, I was able to clear Shattered Realms for the first time after restarting. Will update if I crash again.

Weird.[/b] Same here, although I went a few hours without any issue prior. Game will freeze along with audio, typically within the first few minutes of a playlist strike, then eventually hang too long and crash to desktop with no in-game error codes given. GPU (RTX 3080) driver is all up to date as well and I've never had any crashes with this game before. Windows 10, 32 GB RAM, i9, etc. etc.

Same for me - crashes specifically during the astral alignment event, three times in a row now, can't get past the first few minutes. Audio hang every time. No error codes, just freezes, then CTD. Reporting back after managing to play for 90mins straight. I had posted earlier that I had consistent crashes and couldn't finish the intro mission. I've now gotten past that and played a number of activities, planets, etc. In my case, since I was experiencing an audio hang (ie. stuck/repeating audio at the time of crashing), I changed my system audio to use my direct audio output (in my case Realtek optical audio output) rather than my usual Voicemeter setup that I have been using for years. This completely got rid of the instability for me and just managed a varied 90min play session without any trouble. TLDR - If you are using Voicemeter (or something like it) for your audio routing, try changing Win10 audio output to direct system audio driver (ie. Realtek, headphones, etc.) Hope this helps someone else out. I believe this is likely some issue with the new BattleEye implementation, but who knows! Hopefully Bungie can sort this sooner than later!

I've also had a crashes happen to me. Once during the starting mission, then later during a Gambit match, and then while in the EDZ area.

Crashed twice, once during the first mission, once after queuing for astral alignment, and once within astral alignment. All three times there was a freeze and then crash to desktop.

Same issues for me. Happened once while in orbit queuing into a Crucible game, and once more while in the middle of a Crucible game after opening my inventory to swap guns for a bounty. i9-9900k 16gb DDR4 3200 RAM RTX 2080ti Didn't receive any error codes or a dialogue box after the crash happened. Going to make sure my drivers are up to date, restart the PC and try other solutions. Had no prior crashes before SoTL was released. Hope this gets resolved!

I've had 3 freezes where the game sound cuts out and then comes back but stays frozen on the initial loadup. Also had 3-4 crashes in the intro mission alone right before you go into the ascendant realm. Ryzen 5900x RTX 3070

Randomly once in the HELM, once in the dreaming city and once during the new seasonal activity. AMD Ryzen 3900x 12 core Nvidia RTX 2070 Super (Most recent driver) 32 GB Ram SSD 144 fps/hz cap Windows 10 x64 (Most recent BIOS aswell) No crashes whatsoever before todays update. EDIT: Apparently capping fps to 120 in the nvidia control panel fixes crashes, can't test that myself today but worth a try. Was at 144 fps/hertz myself.
