AntiCheat will only benefit PC?
People might not have infinite ammo, wall hacks, or perfect aimbot crap. However, we have people with mods and scripts, ddosing, lagswitching, etc. Will your new system do anything to ban console cheaters? If not, the game will still suck for console.

In my 2.5 years on D2 I have had more than 500 people get confirmed bans through Microsoft, and only one confirmed through bungie, which was last week. But people believe cheating doesn't exist on console. More over people mistakenly confuse cheating with hacking, hacking is a subset to cheating. It's only one facet of the multiple ways one can cheat in a game. Sadly, the number of people accurately informed is minimal. So I will do my part in continuing to report anything suspicious. Because I'm catching people almost daily. Granted with Xbox I'd say more than 80% of cheating can be attributed to some type of network manipulation, there are still quite a few things I've seen over time and even from other games that's a bit undeniable. Like someone snipe killing to people at the same time when both players are opposite sides of the sniper.

1 ReplyBattleye will just officially start the cat n mouse game, cheating will always remain a major problem on pc. Cheaters will just evolve much faster. On console, pretty much nothing can be done about attachments like strikepack or devices like cr0nus.

8 RepliesYou can't cheat on console , Sony and Microsoft have constant updates to make sure game manipulation is not possible (that's why you can't play unless you download the latest console update) If you see someone is teleporting or killed you through a wall , that is just lag , not cheating

1 ReplyI have 4000+ PvP games played. Can't say I've seen much cheating at all on Xbox. Last time was a ddos while playing Gambit a couple of years ago.

6 RepliesQuestion is how much it will help on pc. If you google around, you will find out that effectivity depends a LOT on implementation from Bungie... not to mention that karnel level anticheat can, and probably will, run havoc on ptp connectivity. So I expect spike in weasels and so on.

27 RepliesKind of more Microsoft’s job to actually do something for that 120$ a year you guys pay for literally nothing. No actual moderation other than when someone calls you a -blam!- -blam!-. Cheating a everywhere thanks to Cronus being so mindlessly easy to use. Overwatch on console is completely riddled with cheating like it’s half of every lobby past diamond and in masters I just gave up trying lol. Pc has less cheating these days

Well... Yeah? Now maybe I'm wrong here since my knowledge of console development is limited, but I'm fairly certain that no anti cheat works on console and Sony and MS leave that task up to their built in solutions. So don't think Bungie can do much about that.

Personally have only ran into 2 cheaters. And if anything one was probably using a cronuszen/max. But thats over LONG periods of times, super rare to see. From my experience so far

16 RepliesThe Battleye anti cheat isn't even going to change anything on PC. Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG have Battleye and they have tons of cheaters. Destiny will still have a ton of cheaters on PC.

Not sure about hacking on console but an anticheat can't do anything about ddosing cause that's network manipulation. At least I think that's how it works not sure though.

2 RepliesXim, Cronus, MnK Users in general and matchmaking between old and new generations is per se not fair. Now add to it some recoveries and there you got the pvp of destiny, but yeah they want to be "competitive".

This Bungie should include in the Anti-Cheat System

9 RepliesIf you truly believe someone is cheating on console don’t report it to destiny. Report to Microsoft or Sony and if they are caught I think their entire console gets locked out from online.

Wait for pc streamers to try to carry cross plays, then they will understand what a Cronus Zen does to a M&K player and start complaining. I have a feeling they’ll quickly stop carrying console players.

1 ReplyWell, for starters true hacking isn't profitable on console. Console will get a fat IP ban for breaking into a console, or the PSN/Xbox account will get a ban, which means the subscription for online play has to be purchased again. And if it isn't profitable, people don't tend to do it very much (compared to places where it is profitable). You could argue that Cronus Zen and similar products are considered cheating devices, but then you could also argue that 90% of the players who use those products are not detected by the average player or would be good without them anyways. And even then, some people have physical disabilities. So something as robust as the Cronus Zen essentially builds accessibility into the controller, something that neither Xbox or Sony do very well. So we gonna ban people with disabilities for using a Cronus and everyone else or are we just gonna ban those who play well with a Cronus? Either way it just doesn't make sense. Those devices are not the big issues on console. To me, the real issues on console that need to be smacked with the hammer are win trading and recovs. Dealing with the latter would be especially tricky, but it still needs to happen.

In y1 I played with a few top 500 trials players. They somehow had so bad network they couldn't even start a psn party chat without someone else hosting. Take what you want from it. And some of them were streaming. It's a joke.

13 RepliesAll jokes aside.... How do you even tell when someone is cheating on console. When stuff like last word, crimson, snipers n such have some incredible aim assist that you basically have to try to miss, im not seeing how you can tell when cheating is actually taking place.

There are maybe a handful of dedicated cheaters who can even use scripts/mods on console D2. Ddossing and lag switching however, are much more common on console than on PC. I even had a chat with the enemy team after a trials match and one of them admitted that if they hadn’t beaten in legitimately, they would have booted one of us offline. Sure enough, his Xbox profile had an “avoid” reputation
