Light has zero weight
Bungie....in every other game I have ever played, the harder I work to get a character high in power gives a benefit to dmg and dmg resistance. Your light lv system is garbage! Its just a 20$ bill to get into a club. Its only needed to get into an activity and has zero bearing on power. I understand you want the game to be difficult and I appreciate that but if i work to make my char 20 light lvs above recommendation, a red bar shouldn't be able to nuke..fix what is broken and stop focusing on meta issues.

But then you think about content like Last Wish or Pit of Heresy, where we are super over leveled for those activities. Your proposed system would mean that doing Petra’s Run in Last Wish, solo flawless Pit, or other difficult challenges in the game would no longer be challenging.
