Imagine interchangeable "class items"...
I understand it would "go against Destiny and what class items are"...but hear me out.
Any character being able to equip any bond, mark, or cloak. (Obviously not the "class specific" items with class logos and stuff).
If you wanna go for a simple look with a bond, you can. Or maybe add a mark to a hunter or warlock (I admit a mark on a warlock could be difficult with robes) but still.
BUT...
Imagine being able to equip a cloak on any character. Warlocks would look even more magical and wizard like, and titans would just look badass. Think lord saladin looking titans since he has a cloak.
*And to anyone who wants to be toxic about this post, it was just a thought. Relax🙂

We need more variety rather than interchangeable. Why is it only cloaks, marks, and bonds? Why can't we have stuff like say just a quiver on the back of a hunter? or a book with the warlock? stuff like that. cool unique items that tell a story.

41 RepliesHonestly, just swap around some class items. Hunters getting cloaks makes no sense. Warlocks are space wizards and we get....arm bands? What are we, Jews in the 40s? No, give Warlocks cloaks. Hunters can have the armbands. It actually makes sense for them. A cloak is big and flowy and gets in the way, an armband is light and unobstructive and can even serve a functional purpose if designed right. Better yet, get rid of the armband design entirely and make it like vambraces, that suits Hunters perfectly. Titans having Marks is just fine, makes sense I suppose, but they could do better with Belts instead of Marks, or even Banners that rest over their chestplate.

Nah I think class items should remain exclusive to their specific classes. The Hunter class item is a big part of the visual and lore identity of the class. If it could be worn by any class it would essentially result in Hunters losing a big part of what makes Hunter look unique. Now if Hunters got trench coats or dusters out of this that would make things a worthwhile trade.

1 ReplyBetter yet, how about exotic class items. This would give devs a whole new palate to work with and come up with some new exotics that aren't just recycled from D1 or that aren't tied to arms, legs, etc.

I’d like a D1 style short jacket for Warlocks but then some of the trousers look weird…legs like pencils!

Capes for titans, a special glove like thing for hunters and concentrating their power more and thin, small belts for warlocks. That would be cool, just a thought.

I would support having multiple variations of said class items for each character but I would rather not quite entirely allow us to switch over.

Since armor synthesis came out, most hunters don’t even where their class item, so they’d probably be fine with that. Saladin kind of ruined any counter argument the titans could have and warlocks are always complaining that they don’t have anything as good as the other classes do.

Edited by Vale: 7/18/2021 9:04:09 PMi think keeping what we have is good but id like them to experiment like having a robot arm for your warlock bond or a poncho for hunter cloaks titans could have belts and stuff titans could have a chest plate that has a cloak attached to it like lord salad man and hunters could have a bunch of material on their chest plate to mix with existing cloaks
