It's so bad, and there isn't a single reason in the world for it. Controller sensitivity even goes DOWN when on PC, I plugged mine in and I can't even have the same sensitivity across both platforms. It's been like this for 8 years and there has never been a reason for it. I actually cannot play with my PC friend because of it, not just because they have an advantage or anything, but because my aim gets even slower so the experience becomes dreadful, which even makes the problem of one input device against the other even worse
Edit: Also separating ADS and normal sensitivity should be a thing as well

2 RepliesProbably because the consoles can't handle the visuals from faster turning speeds? It's probably the same reason they didn't add fov changes until the next gen. Play on a PC if it matters that much. I believe it's unlimited there.

My tip would be to try gyro aiming and flick stick, it makes controllers have that mouse and keyboard vibe

2 RepliesDude what . I main controller on pc .. it’s a lot faster then console . I tried going back to console and I couldn’t even move correctly it was so slow . It was unplayable I had to put in soo much effort just to look around . On pc I play max sense for controller . I need a good 2 more bumps in sense and I feel It would be perfect but even as Is right now I can hit mythic on pc . Thts with and without skill match making . Even with players using mnk I can still out play them . Now dealing with a flawless tag mnk player is a whole dif story they are on crack .

2 RepliesYa, that's what the game needs. People spinning in neck-breaking circles even faster than they currently can
-
I think there should be a sensitivity limit but it should be higher than it is now.
-
I should be able to do a hundred 360s in under a second if I wanted to, whether or not I’m on console

Props to that edit son!

2 RepliesBungie, one time industry leaders in fps design, should be embarrassed by their lack of controller settings. Compare the options in Destiny to those in any other modern fps titles and you’ll see how far behind Destiny is.

Edited by mja calg: 7/10/2021 12:43:21 AMAgreed. They also need to have finer divisions between the sensitivity settings. I think they have 10 settings and I would prefer something like 3.3 or 3.5, not 3 or 4. Just increase the range by )at least) 4x and then give us intermediate settings.
-
Ye I kinda agree with this especially with the fact that crossplay is just around the corner

Imagine pc settings not being enough. It’s gotten a bit better but a year ago before customization console had like 5 control options. Even now compare your Xbox or playstation to your pc settings menu. Point is good luck with this.

1 ReplyFirst off, I agree with you. I’m not arguing that this needs to change, but I just wanted to make one point. The only reason you don’t see more XIM or whatever-that-other-one-is keyboard and mouse adapters on console is because the controller-input sensitivity cap makes it a pretty bad experience. I don’t use these, but I’ve watched YouTube videos of them in order to understand how to know if someone else is, and it seems that outright sensitivity is the “make or break” component here. Again, I agree it should be uncapped and I have no interest in suffering through restrictions so that cheaters might find it harder to cheat, but it could be a potential reason for the settings discrepancy.

when me and my friend came back to d2 Max sensitivity We did flips Lol

8 RepliesTraction needs to be automatically implemented and not a mod.

Yes, I wish they would at least double the rate. It's soooooo slooooooow.
-
2 RepliesReally wish we had Sensitivity options on the same level as Apex Legends.
-
We need that and separate normal and ads sensitivity

Edited by Amazinite: 7/9/2021 5:21:28 PMFor real. Since D1 I’ve always used a sensitivity of 10, but I move over to literally any other game on console and Destiny’s 10 is like Battlefield’s 6

3 RepliesDont forget wasted mod slot for traction...

It's been like this for 8 years and there has never been a reason for it.
I may or may not be imagining this, but iirc sometime way way back, possibly even around D1 time, I think it was stated somewhere that the reason why turning radius and sensitivity was capped at such middle ground was that there was a concern about fairness. Bungie's devs were concerned about the skillgap between those who could handle extremely high sensitivity FPS controls and their potential advantage over those who could not, so sensitivity was capped in a middle ground (though arguably quite low) where it was enough to satisfy those who preferred higher sensitivity, yet not too fast for those who are unable to keep up. Obviously, this decision was made in D1 while it was console only, so it was a controller issue and MnK was never taken into account. But with D2 coming PC that concept was thrown out the window, but never updated entirely. Like I said I might be imagining this but im almost certain this was mentioned in one way or another.

Can we also have a way to turn off aim assist

10 RepliesThey need to nerf the aa on controller then.
I actually cannot play with my PC friend because of it...
Learn to use kb/m. 🤷♂️ I agree with you on upping the sensitivity for consoles but nothing is going to compare to the turning speed of the mouse on pc. Yes it might take a while but it is completely worth it. I don't mind playing with controller on the PS5 but I rarely ever plug one into the pc when I'm playing on it. Just 'force' yourself to run without a controller on pc until you are used to the keys.

12 Repliesthere is a way to make your controller sens faster.
