Momentum Control is a breath of fresh air
Momentum is basically destiny 2's hardcore mode and I honestly think it should be a permanent part of the playlist selection.
Momentum Control allows for a proper power fantasy in all regards. Primaries, specials, heavies, and abilities all feel like they are equally as valuable and powerful as the next. I can use whatever weapon I want and they all feel great.
I don't want to do away with the regular ttk's and radar, but momentum provides an opportunity to have a more widely usable arsenal. I'm not saying I play meta all the time and winning is the only goal, but I can only get stomped for play off meta so many times before I stop having fun all together. And the game after all is about fun isn't it?

2 RepliesNot a fan of Momentum Control. Its good for bounties like 30 guardian kills since I can actually sneak up on people. But other than that, capping zones is just bait.

I played one match yesterday and had fun. Polaris Lance was wonderful. Might play some more on Sunday.

Besides that, my biggest issue is the gimmick bullshit weapons like Trinity Ghoul when people spawn camp and the arc burst kills you before you rez. It is interesting in that you can kind of use whatever load out you want in that mode. I was having some fun with Multi Mach and Cartesian Coordinate; trying to stay away from traces. Obviously DMT one shots from the next map is in play, and I was guilty of that at times, but it's a little lame.

7 RepliesMomentum is where you can really see how bad players are when they can’t crutch on the radar and stuff I was still running into players crouch walking around the map and going invis, as if that helps in this game mode

Havent played crucible in awhile, is it out this week? I liked it because it was like Destinys version of Swat from Halo.
