Grandmaster should guarantee weapon drop
Did Glassway GM twice and got one plug one to drop. It is very unmotivating as the weapon drop is not guarantee; it takes 20 minutes to get to the boss room which is pretty long and hard to complete. Not worth grinding IMO.
Shards, prisms and exotics are not loot in a sense that they are easy to farm other and more efficient ways.
And when the weapon drops, RNG typically gives you not the perks you would like to have. Hence my feedback is, make GM weapon drop guaranteed.

I'd say the first completion each week should be guaranteed, but after that its on you if you want to farm it.

They are random rolled either way so the ones claiming the game will be dead in a week clearly doesn’t understand how a looter game works. The whole point of a looter is to play the game, get loot. Not play the game and hope to get loot, that just takes away any motivation to even bother with GM’s.

1 ReplyDo like trials system. Each week Ikora could give a single bounty for a GM completion. Bounty is guaranteed adept weapon for that week. Rolls are still random so will probably be “shoots strait whilst standing on one leg” combined with “ slide for increased pretty bullets” anyway. Gives 3 guaranteed adept drops a week, much better. And lets face it - every other damn thing in the game is bounty driven.

6 RepliesThis is 100% why I don't do the GM nightfalls or the raids. The RNG on top of RNG multiplied by RNG inside of RNG raised to the RNG. I did the 1310 lost sector or whatever it is for the exotic arms and it took 11 tries before I finally got them. You want me to do this for GM nightfalls and raids? LOL FuuuuuuUuuUuUuUUuuck that!

The farming only feels bad because glassway isn’t a farmable map. I cleared it 7-8 times this week and got 3 Adepts. 45 mins on a high risk map isn’t where one should farm Insight terminus can be cleared very easily in 20 mins or less. So the week that is the gm. And the selectable gm weeks at the end of the season. That’s where you can look for the rolls you really want

Every Nightfall should be a guaranteed drop for the weapon and Grandmaster should be adept. All that happens when I run a nightcap 20 times in a week with no featured weapon drop I lose interest in even doing them anymore. Even the Heroic NF is just too tedious to run over and over for nothing but some old weapon from 3 season ago.

7 RepliesWhy should it be guaranteed? I got one on every completion, infusion fuel, they all suck. At least getting one every time gives better chance of getting an actual usable weapon. P.S. 3 shadebinders makes it so easy it’s almost cheating. Anyone having trouble needs to try it.

This whole game runs on RNG. Guarantees are rare. Plus adept weapons are not the only thing in the reward pool. You got mods, upgrade materials, and exotics too.

2 RepliesGot my hung jury with firefly a couple of weeks ago on my first nightfall of the week. Unfortunately it's down to rng and your luck on the day. Me and several clan mates were grinding the hell out of that nightfall for the rest of the week and only got another 5 jurys to drop, none of which had firefly. Between us we had around 250 runs. Rng sucks but its better than it was in D1. Who remembers taking purple engrams to rahool only to get blue weapons?

Drop rate is too low on all difficulties. Im not high enough to rum GM, iv been farming legend and master all weekend and haven't had a single nf exclusive drop. Not once. Most of my master platinum clears awarded 2 prisms

I second that sentiment! Spent the better part of the week looking for a team to compete this GM, finally got it done and none of us got the weapon! Very Unrewarding! You can hop off the edge of the map for a guaranteed weapon in the pvp end game activity, but you attempt this GM multiple times to get the clear and you end up with two shards, no golf ball, no gun! A GM should be a guaranteed weapon drop and not a chance for one! Fix the loot distribution here Bungie!

First off, congrats on the two clears, quite the feat. Secondly, there should be a weekly gm bounty (1 per character) where it rewards a random rolled version on successful completion. I find weapon drops this season across the board have been pretty dreadful.

It should. It doesn’t because it extends grind and therefore extends playtime, despite trials weapons being guaranteed from flawless.

2 RepliesVery valid point but it really won’t be an issue when GMs can be picked. Plenty of easy GM this season so it’ll be easier to farm later in the season. Only issue being that people don’t have time to wait & would rather get it out the way sooner than later.

Yeah if GM are the endgame of pve weapons should be guarenteed just like lighthouse flawless pvp endgame should be equal its not fair tbh atm comon bungie wheres the equality?
