This would easily make transmog a thousand times better with more looks to chase. Plus, all the people who prefer D1 armor sets can now wear them in D2 if this is done. Win-win for everyone.

1 ReplyThis would have people screaming reskin, a better solution is to use the process they had for making D1 armor. D1's weapons and armor all use pastebins filled with parts of weapons and armor, they then put together the gear in different ways, slap a few colors on it, give it stats and a perk pool, this made gear creation VERY efficient for them and allowed them to pump out crazy amounts of gear in short periods (this is why both house of wolves and the dark below had a bunch of new random legendaries). In taken king this was taken one step further by adding new pastebin parts and constructing new gorgeous armor sets. What also made this a great process was that all gear always had a certain level of quality, so even the most underused gear looked decent.

Facebook popped up a screenshot I took when I first got the Taken Armor set yesterday. I miss cool armor sets you didn't have to grind out to look good from the start. *looks at unfinished Solstice of Heroes armor set*

I liked the RoI Vanguard armor. I’d love for Bungie to return to that art style or look. Futuristic but not too over the top. And doesn’t look like tangled shore trash…
-
At least the Iron Banner armor. New stuff isn't bad, but I miss the knight armor.
-
Im super over D1. Hard pass. New content or pass
-
As long as it's ornaments I'm down. Ik these would probably be the most monetized but at least it means it's in the game and it won't suck up the data base for new geometries of armor later in the game. I'll accept such give and takes.

Bungie-d1 armor coming Half the community-Yay! Nostalgia and good looks The other, whiny half-Boo! Re-skin! Make new stuff!

3 RepliesId love it but it wont happen. Dq armor was cool looking and they intentionally made D2 armor look worse so people buy ornaments. Bringing back some of them might impact ornament sales so Bungo wont go for it.

Dude they need to rework how armors look. They look so bulky and bad on player models. The difference looks like DS2 and DS3. In DS2 armor looks like it perfectly fits and in DS3 armor doesn't fit perfectly. They need to change how warlock arms work too. They only cover to elbow while in D1 they affected the entire arm and could add shoulder pads or other shoulder equipment.

1 ReplyThey should bring back the sublime engram armor sets
-
No...just because you said all D1 armor....too much work for not much

I want my shaders from D1 back instead

If Bungie are going to reskin armours I would prefer they reskin D1 sets, because at least that's new armour sets for D2 for us to transmog.

But then they would nerf the glorious hunter armor
