Players get disconnected, rage quit, or have their game crash. It screws their teammates over in survival. It punishes teammates for something that isn't even their fault. We need glory protection for when this happens.

9 RepliesOr you never lose Glory and only go up when you win.

Stop asking for matchmaking to do all the work to give you players so you can win. Everyone wants matchmaking until it screws them over.

In squad it'll be unfortunately too exploitable. Freelance however I fully agree - need to punish randos for alt f4ing and protect those remaining form loosing points when they do. Sure give the opposition the win but I'd already be at Legend if every 4th match someone didn't rage quit after 1 round (including close losses)!

1 ReplyHave something like maybe the first 3 times one of your teammates leave each week you dont lose Glory to a loss, on top of allowing them to rejoin (and only that player). Being on PC, most of the time I could restart my rig and loadup the game and join the game again before a round ends, but not if they dont let me rejoin.

In APEX Legends, leaving COMP earns you a soft ban from the game. It’s really that simple for D2 as well, but this player base will react much differently.

1 ReplySpitball idea: if someone leaves a glory match, have that person take the loss for all of the glory points the entire team would have lost if everyone had taken the L the right way.
-
This system would be used to cheat and not lose glory points
-
1 ReplyRejoining should always be allowed. Uneven matches should be canceled. As long as a teammate wasn’t in the fire team losing a teammate to disconnect/leaving should prevent loss of glory.
-
this makes too much sense for bungie devs. actually servicing pvp with a rational mechanic like this is WAYYYYYY outside their scope.
-
I’ve already resigned to that fact I will never max out my glory. I don’t even bother anymore for some bs +1 pinnacle that’s gonna 100% drop where it’s not remotely useful
-
1 ReplyYES, PLEASE can we get this after 3 years!?
-
Glory mode is changing drastically or going away. They know it’s broken.

I don't think Glory Protection is working correctly. Last week, I lost the first two games I played for the week, but I still lost Glory Points. And just when I finally decided to try and get the Mida Catalyst.

3 RepliesProblem is, if you’re losing you have one teammate back out to deliberately abuse that system and protect your win-streak. So I’d say this is a good idea for Freelance, but not for the regular Fireteam version.

People leave after dying twice like what do you expect to never die just instant win

Edited by damnter: 6/9/2021 5:19:17 AMIt defenitly sucks. Happend to me so many times. Problem is that teams will abuse that. Unfortunately.
