So... stasis nerf not only benefits crucible players, but punishes pve players?

Am I getting that right? Like.. I don't see stasis as too OP in PVE. They did a lot of nerfs but I felt pve from stasis was pretty balanced, not OP. Crucible idc about glad its probably more balanced compared to before... though this runs again into separating the sandboxes. Anyone else feel that way? Or am I reading the twab wrong.

    The nerfs will not affect pve! This is only a pvp nerf. The only change pve players will get is that one aspect that grants extra damage on freezing players which is totally fine. We already have other ways of dealing more dps with our weapons anyways. Kill clip, rampage, Damage rift, debuffs, etc. this nerf/overhaul wont suddenly change a pve build

Or am I reading the twab wrong.[/quote] It only applies pvp. The only pve affecting thing is hedrons which isn't a nerf but a rework that will. One off as a nerf. Definitely skimmed and didn't read.

          PvE players: PVP RUINS EVERYTHING Devs make changes to classes that nerf stasis that are 95% exclusive to PvP only. PvE players: (Not able to be bothered to read the actual notes) PVP RUINS THE GAME AGAIN.

        • Looks like someone can't read. All the changes are in pvp only, save for the hedrons change. Everything else isn't going to affect PvE.

          • At least half of the changes are PvP specific, and I think Stasis is powerful enough to justify the more general nerfs

          • From what I read the changes to Stasis were directed to PVP, exception to one perk that increased weapon damage. It just seems reflexive that PVE mains blame PVP by default before they read the patch notes...

          • Apart from boss encounters, it’s pretty OP in PvE

          • The only thing that crosses into PvE is hedrons. But it conflicted with high end grey fire anyway so I doubt anyone will miss the damage buff.
