A question about the player character
So is the Young Wolf/Player Guardian meant to be the strongest entity in the Destiny universe, or am I just an egotistical sack of shit? I am genuinely curious.

Kind of, but I’m pretty sure a lot of major characters could go toe-to-toe with the Guardian. The only reason [i]we’re[/i] the ones killing space gods (as far as I can tell) is everyone else at the tower is already preoccupied. Ikora and Zavala serve an important administrative roll within the city. Shaxx, Saladin, Saint, and Drifter oversee guardian-vs-guardian events that require their presence to function. Crow has a secret mission or something this season.

7 RepliesOur Guardian is the quintessential hero character - not more powerful or gifted than others of their kind but largely in the right place at the right time. Look at any fantasy or Sci-fi writing and you'll see similar veins. Specific to Destiny 2, the only time we've been more powerful than those around us was during the Red War, when our Ghost guided us to the shard of the Traveler and we got our light back. Since then, it's just right place right time, like I said... Though the argument could be made that Ghost is the main character and we're just its henchperson / muscle...

3 RepliesThe second one, there are many characters in the lore that are much more powerful than us like osiris or toland and those are just counting guardians, just think about how we would fair against a harbinger

10 RepliesDepending on how long you’ve been playing, we’ve probably achieved more than any other guardian in history, especially in our short lives. Whether we are the most powerful or not isn’t easy to answer; Osiris cast multiple element supers, moving from one into another and can make duplicates of himself in the infinite forest. Ikora is supposedly unbeaten in crucible and Saint-14’s battle of attrition against the Vex is legendary. Personally, I’m not a fan of the whole “chosen one” thing. I think it’d be much more interesting if say, Crow was and we were a powerful character on the sideline but maybe thats just me.

We'll we're definitely one of the strongest GUARDIANS, but not the strongest entity There have definitely been other legendary Guardians who are the most powerful in specific traits, like Ana being one of the most powerful gunslingers and saint being the most powerful defender Titan But that young wolf is without a doubt one of the most versatile and all-around strongest Guardians in history. So much so they've gotten the attention of both the traveler and the Darkness However we're not stronger than the traveler and the Darkness ourselves
