I don’t agree with Bungie doing this, but their most profitable year was 2019. In that year they earned 300m. That is TINY for a developer working on a game this big. 100m of that will be staff wages, another 100m is consumed by renting facilities, hardware, software, maintenance, keeping their servers online, marketing, PR, and general upkeep. With maybe 100m left over as profit. Thats barely even enough to make it worthwhile, there are companies with half the amount of staff earning twice the amount of money.

  • No, they weren’t. Those were from their yearly earnings report. It’s company wide, even including profit from outside Destiny.
