I’m 1300 true light. In iron banner no one can be over 1310. So how much defense does someone have against me when we are within 10 light of one another???
I am literally 1-2 meters w a Felwinters and I barely drop the other players over Shield by half....
It’s crazy how I get 1 hit kills in “regular” crucible matches. But in ib they laugh and bag me cuz I tickle their balls w my felwinters.... I’d just like to see the numbers.
Make an iron banner simulator in private match to see real numbers. Ridiculous I’m within 10 light and I can’t do any real damage.
You literally make these bums feel like gods cuz I can’t do any real damage.

Edited by BraddyBo: 4/21/2021 8:08:05 PMI believe its a gradual decrease in damage/resistance up to 10% between a 2-20 light disadvantage. A 2 light deficit is 2% decrease in dmg/dmg resistance and 20+ light deficit is 10% which is the cap. Due to the rounding of numbers, light level advantage is more noticeable on faster RoF weapons. Right now, light lv advantage barely matters when receiving dmg because the ttk on 120s are unchanged until the deficit is large enough where 2 crits can get the kill (10 light deficit with 9 resilience, 10 resilience allows survival). Shotguns require 1 less pellet to land to kill you. When it comes to dealing dmg at max deficit, you MUST land 2c1b with 120s because 1c2b will never kill (even against 0 resilience). Shotguns require an additional pellet to kill.

3 RepliesEdited by Wintermute 2050: 4/19/2021 11:47:32 PMIt doesn't surprise me that you are having difficulty with a 10-point difference. With my characters are at 1306/1307 I often have to fight hard against enemies that are 1308-1310. It is unbelievable that such a small difference in power level would make it difficult to kill them. When lag is a factor the situation becomes more problematic. There are more players at the high end of the power range now that IB is nearly over. Most of them are PvE players. Some are good, fast gamers, and others only know how to stand still and shoot. I saw one that had an incredible 17,000+ triumph score.

Have you tried not missing, and not getting shot? That's how you kill people and don't die.

Players at 1263 cooked me on team shooting so... I would say level advantage is in your mind.

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 4/20/2021 12:35:42 AMA 10 light difference isn't just defense debuff, it's also damage buff. Your enemies can tank more damage and do more damage. You got video proof? Maybe you aren't hitting them with all the pellets, it is a shotgun with random pellet patterns. Back in the day, I was able to kill 500 people with the iron burden, a 100 light disadvantage. It's doable. Iron banner is a hardcore mode. Maybe don't play in there if you aren't hardcore?

Just use Malfeasance, guaranteed 5 shot kill at any range at any light level.

😂😂 you think that’s bad? I had to fight 1300+ guardians as a 1260 for most of IB😂😂 (You need a head shot for one hit kill)
nibbles crayon
Edited by High Charity: 4/19/2021 11:32:41 PMPractically no difference for PvP if you're within like 30 light iirc

1 ReplyWe all have a god awful PVP experience together, with a select few enjoying themselves.

It doesn't do anything! It's a lie and BS!

Lag. And over shields.

If they haven’t changed iron banner power scaling since forsaken being 10 power level below should incur roughly 6.67% damage loss.

1301 to 1310 is meaningless. However 1300 and under for IB is when people start seeing the red swords and low enough red skulls. If I remember correctly by a 50 power level difference you're doing half as much while taking twice as much if you're the one lower. Maybe it was 100, I don't remember. Either way the lower you are the worse your experience becomes.
