Why Won't Ordinary Control Players Cap Zones anymore?

1. Because Millennial / Z-listers all think they are Slayers and it's up to someone else... 2. Because they have no strategic awareness and believe they could outscore the opponents 3:1 3. Because their favourite Streaming idiot doesn't cap zones unless there is a related bounty Plenty of winning teams in Control/IB cap zones. Why does it never occur to the idiots on the other side? And just at the exact moment we reached critical levels of idiocy in Iron Banner, Bungie removed zones capped from the scoreboard so we can no longer see how incompetent our team mates are at objective based modes... It has never been this bad

    Have you tried capping a zone by yourself while your teammates all think they’re Rambo? Before the zone reached 75%, I’m getting mowed down by 3 oppositions.

    • If you play efficiently, you only need to cap 2 zones and maintain those 2 zones. If you push too far, the spawns swap and that is annoying to deal with.

      • I never can zones or play objectives. I don’t even play to win to be 100% honest with you. The only game mode I play to win in is Trials, every other game mode I play KD. If my team loses but I have 50 kills and I dropped a 10.0 KDA with the highest kills on both teams, I won. I don’t care what the game says or anyone else has to say. All I care about is individual performance.

          • Bro I get it. But don’t start with this generational 💩 Everyone in North America is a lone Wolf. All our media points to a single hero fighting against all the odds. So our society as a whole has an individualistic approach to everything. It’s why Asians are richer and more successful in America than Whites, Hispanics, and Black people combined. Because when you’re from a group or community oriented society you tend to do better than people in an individualist society. So this lone wolf 💩 is annoying.             • Bounties this time around are all kill based. Also kids care more about fluffing their K/D stats, in hopes that some lil sweat lords will believe they’re good and let them onto their (have a 200.5 K/D or get kicked, checking stats) trails team.....

            • I'm one of the guys that is constantly pushing for zone control, and I'll tell ya, it's getting old. Starting today I might just stop pushing zones altogether for awhile. All that happens otherwise is I get frustrated with the lack of team support and my efficiency is in the tank, and we lose anyway.

              • Or because all the bounties are to kill people. Getting mercies makes the games for their pinnacles faster Because you don't cap any faster with more than 2 people in the zone.

                • Because capturing points dont matter.!!! You can win the game while the whole team has cap advantage idk if its just a feat some players can accomplish but i always do it in ib or control with randoms

                      For me the zones are there to tell the area the opposing team's moving in. So there's less time wasted on running and searching and more well spent on shooting. Control is just better, less random clash.

                        • 1. Bounties usually require kills, so people will focus on that over capping points because they want to finish the bounties. 2. Catalysts also usually require kills, so same thing goes for that. 3. Exotic quests, I can’t think of any that require you to capture points in crucible. There’s some reasons why. You’re welcome.

                          • Anymore? This has been a thing for a good minute. Bounties determine how people play. "X" amount of kills doesn't require capturing zones. Ability kills don't require capturing zones. TLDR: People aren't playing to win. They're playing to get the grind over as fast as possible.

                              Because Bungie does nothing to allow people to control deathballing (players mobbing up and just rolling around the map and capping one zone after another, making no effort to defend any of them.....and teamshooting anything that gets in their way). In D1....when we had stronger abilities on shorter cooldowns....one or two players could **sort of** slow down a team trying to do this. But in the current sandbox.....forget it. You'll just get stomped. The problem is that the game is still designed and tuned (including spawn points) as if people played by taking one side of the map and then defending it. Bottomline? If you are a single player or pair who try to cap a zone against a team that is deathballing....you've just sent up an alarm to the other team. Telling them exactly where you are....and then three or four of them fall on you. ....and when people get tired of dying over and over again to the same tactics (because the game gives you no way to resist it unless you have your super up or have heavy ammo), they wise up and stop doing it.
