I beat the living shit out of my controller today because of how pissed I got at dying to a shotgun over and over again and getting shot twice by a scout rifle and my sniper reticle is off of the -blam!-ing screen. I even have double sniper unflinching on. At this rate, it seems like bungie doesn’t care about balance anymore. All of the weapons that need skill to use get nerfed, and they easy to use and require virtually no skill to use get buffed. Pvp used to be fun, now it’s stasis-shotgun-bastion-spam-simulator. If you’re not using a shotgun these days, you’re going negative KD. You’re heading in an okay direction with the quickdraw nerf, but that applies as a nerf to snipers and every gun that has that perk. I can now tell the skill level of these hunters using stasis and shotguns, and wearing trials emblems in quickplay; they’re all terrible and rely on their shotgun to take them to the lighthouse. It’s not even just felwinters that’s the problem, it’s every shotgun. They’re so -blam!-ing easy to use. The only challenge with them is getting close enough to one hit kill, and that’s not even difficult when you have the ability to slide or dodge at speeds faster than a cheetah on redbull. My solution to nerfing shotguns, is that when holding a shotgun, you get a speed decrease, of say 30%. That way thanks to the quickdraw nerf they’re going to run at you with a gun other than a shotgun, and take longer to pull it out and hopefully you can kill them with your hand canon or smg before they’re close enough. As to buffing snipers, undo the flinching nerf given to them, increase hip fire accuracy (to better combat shotguns), and increase target acquisition.
