I know the origin of it but what does it mean in a game like Destiny.
I got told I have decently high stats with a low elo and they assume I play with or against pototoes even though my matches say otherwise.
I mean when SBMM was active, it did feel like the Top% was on the other team while I got shafted with some players like me or worse. No offense to those players on my team during those times but I play wreckless with smart intentions.
I dont care about stats or ELO. I play for fun and I hate using META or stacking teams.

2 RepliesIt's basically where you sit in ranking online. Games try to make a complicated algorithm that ranks players by skill through a number of criteria.

1 Replyhttps://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/articles/48ae2-destiny-tracker-elo This should explain it at least to a degree. Many people use this specific service, so it should hopefully be accurate?

1 ReplyIts meaningless in this game, literally just a matter of who plays more. Im top 10 on the PC rumble leaderboard with only an 85% win rate in rumble but I have over 2000 games so not winning all of them doesnt matter, the sheer amount of games you play is what brings it up. Im also top 1% in trials with only 30 flawlesses though so it is definitely a weird system, but at the end of the day you shouldnt pay attention to stats because all of them can easily be padded somehow and completely misrepresent skill in a lot of cases
