Bungie, nerf 120 hc’s already!

What is the deal? You got on 600 ar’s right away but hc’s especially 120’s are a joke. I’m tired of getting outgunned from across maps with my pulse or scout by some fool using a 120 jumping all over the place and hitting every crit just firing in my direction because you made the hitbox for crits the entire upper body and outside the body meanwhile I have to hit the head for a crit with a pulse or scout and if I miss one shot I’m dead. Hc’s and shotguns have made PvP into a zero skill mess with 99% of the players running around shooting everywhere and getting kills. Nerf the hitbox on 120 hc’s for crits to head only and that would solve the problem. No one in Comp is playing the map or being strategic anymore, it’s a bunch of players who can’t hit the near side of a barn so they play only hc and shotgun and get rewarded with wins for being poor players. Nerf them to the ground or make scout rifles and pulses hitbox the entire upper body and take the charge time off fusion rifles. When almost 100% of the base runs only 120hc/shotgun it’s a serious balance issue and all I’ve heard from Bungie is crickets.

  • No shotguns need to be nerfed.. everyone slip sliding this way that way and still pulling off 1 shot kills without aiming is ridiculous. I don’t really care what type of weapon people want to use but when everyone is using shotguns because they can simply pull the trigger and kill regardless of where the weapon is then something needs to be done... for you shotty peeps out there that want to disagree, well I say use a different weapon type and see how many kills you get. Agree to disagree . ✌🏻

    Wtf are you lying about? “You got on 600 autos right away”??? BULLSH!T.... 600 Auto Meta had the longest standing Meta weve had in D2. Suros melting ppl in .5 Seconds for literally 8 months. And Gnawing was .6 w/o a dmg boost. The only thing they did was nerf HL Ricochet dble damage and no dmg falloff and even that wasn’t immediately. Stop lying to fit your biased narrative. 120’svhave never been meta. Ever. They’ll nerf them. Just so you can return to the forums and cry about the next Meta You don’t agree with. Get over it. Adapt or keep Respawn. Or stick to PvE. I don’t like how they buffed Fusions( Bastion and Telesto are borderline Busted RN) but I don’t come to the forums crying to Bungie because Telesto doesn’t have damage falloff. I made the wrong play. Respawn and Adapt. They’ll be another Meta soon enough. Chill Don’t like it? Don’t play it. Besides....Dead Mans Tale is low key better anyway.

    • This is coming from a guy who has used 120s and just hand cannons in general 120s are absolutely dumb. Then having a slower TTK doesn’t really matter when they flinch you like hell, so you’re basically guaranteed to miss a shot even if you’re using unflinching mods. Their range and AA is also dumb. I’ve used Sturm and I’m hitting headshots that should not be headshots. To the people defending them, you should go against them without a 120 yourself.

      • It's been the hand cannon and shotgun matter for quite sometime because no other weapon like a pulse rifle or an AR don't really compete in PvP and they know it. nerfing isn't the answer however both some of the other types of weapons to be compatible and this time keep it that instead of taking flak from the meta-crowd

              It’s mainly the flinch that makes hand cannons so broken. Getting flinched up a mile using a scout with unflinching is pretty ridiculous. The range needs to be tweaked but the flinch needs to be looked at heavily

              • A hand Cannon should never compete with the range of a Scout Rifle. It's accuracy and damage should correspond with distance. I've only been playing pvp the last 2 seasons so I'm seeing all Destiny 1 maps. Which are small. Are there other maps where distance is actually a factor? Currently any 120 HC can hang with any Scout or AR for damage and accuracy at current map distances. It should be at max distance Sniper, Then Scout, Then Bow, then AR, then HC, then Fusion or SMG, Then Shotgun. There's also a few other types in there as well I can't remember all of them but essentially they should have realistic ranges and do more damage at their corresponding range than the others. If Bungie won't fix the Range or Damage they need to adjust the Accuracy .. An Igneous Hammer is way too easy to use. Having a Hand Cannon being the fastest time to kill next to a 1 shot gun is fine but you should have to have unreal aim to achieve that.

                  • I don’t know why they were buffed to 120rpm in the first place. They were good viable weapons during Season of Arrivals but obviously overlooked because the nature and ease of use ARs that dominated the Crucible that Season. If anything the should have been buffed to 120rpm when ARs were running rampant. But Bungie being Bungie nerfed ARs into the ground and recklessly buffed 110 HCs putting them high on everyone’s radar. I wonder how it would have been if the remained 110. They still be very good choices but not the be all and end all they currently are.
