This week's gambit weekly challenge sucks ass
40 ENVOYS, at the broken rate this shit stain of a game mode goes, and if your team kills them before you can even breathe on them it won't count for you. So if you're invading to stop the other team from winning: get -blam!-ed
If you got killed and your team pulled the primeval, and they kill the envoys before you come back from the gigantic walkback: Get -blam!-ed
The 5 infamy rank bullshit was bad enough but this is absolute garbage.
OH, AND THE MOBS STILL TELEPORT AROUND LIKE IT'S NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS, WHAT THE HELL!
Edit: It's hilarious the amount of people that jump in with the "lol don't do it" "lol optional" comment. To those of you coming here for that: This is the feedback forum, this is a crappy design for a weekly challenge, in a game mode that is the same 3 maps. The "it's optional" comment and people doing it is the -blam!-ing reason gambit is still in the game/still the crap festival of Xeno/Eyes invasions and mobs teleporting into the bank locking you out of the game. Because news flash, the entire game is optional, and I'd like the option for it to not suck as bad.
Edit 2: "One envoy a day" for 40 days straight, if this is your suggestion for this "[[i]b]WEEKLY[/b][/i]" challenge, then you're a bigger part of this problem. It's not on week 8 or 9 that you pop a challenge like this, it's on week 1 or 2 if you want people to do that shit. I don't want to do gambit every day until end of season to complete a challenge, not everyone can play this every single -blam!-ing day.

Just had a game where after two minutes the other team had a primeval and we had seven motes. If you’re a solo player this challenge is a fvcking pain in the ass, to say the least. And I hate the people who put up these challenges because they cannot even relate to someone who is not playing in a team of excellent players all the time and can knock out each challenge the day it comes up. The trials thing is even more disgusting. The sell it like they offer you a weapon without three wins on the card. The reality is they want cannon fodder to get steamrolled by the flawless players who farm this every weekend.

Considering last few weekly challenges have pushed you into Gambit and Cruicible when I saw another 40 required it finally broke me I'm done with this season now. Time to give Outriders a good go. Bungie as always take one step forward two steps backwards with their stalling tactics. Anything they can add to slow this game down they will And for completing all the challenges you get some dust lol to add to my 40k I already have

I only played for like 3 hours and it wasn't hard at all not to mention I was going in and invading as well on every round (I'm still working on the exotic gambit HC quest lmao) I don't get the venting wall of text.

I'm 50/50 on it.... While it's really annoying getting a match with incompetent vs tryhards that melt their boss in a good game you can easily get 7 envoy kill on a win,I believe im at 10 games played and only need 3 It's not gonna be as bad as the kill as invader when your full team will steal the portals

I usually play solo and I'm fairly good at Gambit (when I'm in the mood for it), usually the top player or second on my team. This is my feedback. After 9 games (with other blueberries on two of my Guardians) with 5 losses and 4 wins I had 15 envoys listed as done. What helps a lot is that the envoy count is apparently a team thing, not an individual thing, because I know for a fact I did not kill all those envoys. The highest count I had after one match was 4, the lowest obviously being zero. This averaged out to about 1.67 envoys per match, so at this rate, it will take about 25 Gambit matches to get the 40. Obviously, results will vary. If you load in with a 4-stack, you'll probably get this done in less than 10 matches. For blueberries, I think the results will be similar to mine, some better, some worse. But I would plan for at least 25 matches to do it. My advice is that if you are just doing Gambit for this challenge, but otherwise wouldn't touch Gambit, then it's not worth it. But if you focus on getting the Gambit rank-up rewards and play it for the chance of weapon or armor drops, then 25 matches over the remainder of the season shouldn't be too terrible.

Do we even know how much bright dust we get at the end of all this nonsense, or is it just gonna be like 5K? I pretty much buy all the ornaments/emotes I want, and still have over 20K bright dust. I just don’t see the point at the moment.

ga ga ga ga ga ga gu Honestly though, just do it over the course of the next few weeks. Do your 3 games per character to get let's say 6 Envoys. That's just over 2 weeks if you play on 3 characters. Or do what I'm going to do and just wait until next week when there's another Gambit seasonal challenge.

I realized two weeks ago that I will never come close to finishing the weekly challenges. Several of them simply aren't going to happen. First two weeks I went 10/10. Then 8. Then 6, etc.
